  1. Hmmm.... glad you told me that ... I was just starting to place objectives for Blue and I would have done the same for Red... saved me some time.. thanks.. Question: Do I have to paint an entire objective with green, or can I enclose any area with a green box of tiles and anything within that area is counted as the objective for scoring.   3. Thanks partner... That was really helpful... appreciate it... Is there some scale perspective so I can understand how wide the small squares are, to make it easier to establis a setup zone depth from the edge of the map? In other words, what would be reasonable number of those small "2" squares to cover from the edge outward into the map, to permit enough room for the player to be able to do a setup?   4. Hi folks... Ok, so I need some help... I've downloaded Kieme's Highway V2 "map only", put it in my QB battles directory and had a look at it through the scenario editor. It's excellent Kieme.. thank you very much for doing this. I love huge battlefields with lots of maneuver room and this fits the bill.. My problem is that I wanted to get a CMBS "Meeting" engagement, so I've just spent hours and hours trying to figure out how to do that. I've become frustrated.. Can someone help me with this map? I'd simply like a HUGE Meeting Engagement with fair objectives for both sides and setup zones that run across the edges of the entire battlefield on both sides. Would appreciate any assistance..   5. I thought it was someting I was doing wrong, but now think it must be a priority bug in choosing weapons systems... I say that because after further playing of this match, all these BTR4E's simply sit out in the open at less than 1,000 meters with clear blue LOS and choose to slug it out with Russian tanks using nothing but 30mm cannnon. That's either a lot of "balls" and over confidence for the gunner, or it's some kind of of consistent software bug. Regards, Doug
  6. I'm not sure, but it's possible ALL of the tanks I've seen and engaged are T90's, but I still don't get it... not one Barrier ATGM has left the tubes of over a dozen BTR4E's... Are you saying that the Shtora defensive system causes the Barrier ATGM's mounted on a BTR4E not to fire at all, but somehow cripples their ability to be launched? Regards, Doug
  7. I'm not sure whether I'm doing someting wrong, or there's a reason for this behavior, but.... I have a lot of Uktraine BTR4E's with Barrier ATGM's. I'm playing a match where they spot a Russian tank and engage with nothing but 30mm cannon. I've had several contacts with Russian tanks by several different BTR4E's mounted with Barrier ATGM's and not once has any of the BTR4E's engaged any Russian tank with its Barrier ATGM system, even though there's clear LOS's. Can anyone enlighten me as to why NONE of the BTR4E's will engage an enemy tank with Barrier ATGM's, instead of always choosing their 30mm cannons? Thanks for any feedback... Regards, Doug

I just tried this map in "Meeting" only, as unfortunately, becuase of the long standing old bug with QB's using Probe, Assault, or Attack modes, I can't use anything else with my PBEM partners... I just wanted to say, your conversion on this map is fantastic and really shows off the long range engagement capabilities of these modern weapons systems. Thanks again... I wish we could get more of these huge map sizes converted for CMBS... Regards, Doug

  12. Under the tab on the top program bar next to the tab labled "Options" is one labeled "Help"... Click on it and it drops down to reveal a sellection titled "Help"...   14. On Apple Mac versions, there is no MODS folder within the app PKG. If you open the PKG, you still have the traditional DATA folder and in that I have the standard Z folder, which works fine for me when I place any add-on mods there. Regards, Doug

If I'm to play Allied side against an opponent who loves German armour and loads up with nothing but Panthers and Tigers, I usually try to avoid a long range (anything over 300-500 meters) engagement, especially frontal armour. I also try to get at least one M4A2E8 type of Sherman (Firefly) with a 76mm master weapon, the I protect the heck out of it while I try to manoeuvre for a side or rear shot. It's a really tough match without ery vsuperior numbers where you can afford to spend (sacrifice) vehicle resources in order to get the Panther/Tiger into a position to fight on "my time, my terms and my ground"...   21. When I upgraded to Yosemite, I didn't have a problem starting up BFC products, so I'm not sure what went wrong for you ... Perhaps it's a licensing issue that got pooched in the process.... Regards, Doug
  22. Follow up... This bug only happens when one or both sides options are set to "manual" selection of forces and if both sides choose "auto" selection of forces, the QB setup works fine and each respective side have their correct setup zones. Regards, Doug
  23. It's a serious bug that's been in existence for several years... A playing partner and myself are currently working on a pattern of why it exists, apparently only for assault and attack type QB's.. We're trying to get QB map Asslt Large Forest (water) QB-214.btt working with German side in "Assault Mode" and British side defending. German side starts setup and sends Move 1 to British side. British side does setup and sends Move 2 back. German side tries their setup and discovers their setup zone is exactly the same as the British side. We've tried this setup several times, and the anomaly we can't figure out is why the QB worked the very first time for German setup in their proper zone, but has NOT worked for any subsequent attempts. Quite frankly, it spoils the game in many ways and makes the only usable QB's I've ever been able to play as "Meeting Engagements" only. I sure wish BFC would find some time to track down this long standing bug and fix it. By the way, you're not on an Apple Mac computer are you? Regards, Doug
