Ok, thx a lot, Tanks a Lot! Can you please upload them? On the screen they Look a bit like green arty smoke, but i think ingame they ll Look Quitte fine. Thanx!
..if enemy unit is spotted
..if soldier, vehicle is hit
..
on a huge battlefield its not that funny to rewind the replay 10+ times to know whats going on on the different sectors.
I love the whole CM-Series.
But as a serious grognard, i miss one important feature: AUTOPAUSE.
Dear Battlefront, are there any plans to implement this feature?
Thanx for all of your answers!
Well i think i have to switch back to turn based like i did it in CM1.
Anyway "autopause" would be nice (so you dont have to rewind 10x times ;-)
Thanx for your immediate answer Btw, i enjoy the game a lot!
But i think the main problem of it is to keep the situational awareness for the player. It happens too fast that you miss something like:
-spotting an enemy
-the beginnning of an firefight
-incoming arty-fire
-.....
Wouldn't it be possible to implement an autopause-feature? it would optimize the game a lot!
Well i've a problem with getting situational awareness in bigger battles. Especially when the enemy attacks from different directions.
Often i missed short firefights between my soldiers and the enemy. So i cant react properly.
Are there plans to implement an autopause feature like in "Theatre of War"?
Or alternatively an Infobox like in "Panzer Command: Ostfront" which informs about the events?
OMHO such features are must haves!
I rememeber in CM1 a vehicle shuts down it's engine when you gave the order hide. So the vehicle was harder to reveal.
Why hasn't this feature been implemented in CM2 as well?
All of my teams get shot before reconing enemy positions. I only see the tracers somewhere from the bocage...
I tried:
a) hunt
hunt + hide
c) slow
d) slow + hide
e) move
f) move + hide
g) different direction
Any hints or tips?
-->Overall i ve the feeling that the player is fighting more against the engine and not against the enemy
-->eg: the pathfinding of the vehicles is often"ยง$%&/ !!
--> infantry isn't using terrain unless you micromanage every detail (move order)
--> i've played every CM-title from the beginning of the series. I don't see any improvements in the engine (ai and stuff) besides better graphics. Sorry, i'm a bit frustrated..
