  1. Hi, Can anyone tell me why when I try to edit a campaign for the whole world at war scenarios it drops Japan from the countries list and turns it into France and turns france into Albania?? Very weird. Bill
  2. Hi Bill, I was really hoping to be able to extend a game that I was playing so I dont have to start all over again now that it is at the interesting part. Take care. Bill
  3. Gorgin, Thanks for the tip. Is there any way to do that with a game in progress? Thanks. Bill
  4. Hubert, I still enjoy playing SC2B, great job, but I really wish there was a patch or fix or whatever you want to call it that would allow you to keep playing after the official end in the summer of 45. Keep up the good work. Bill
  5. How about the new resurgent Russian Empire invades Afghanistan (or Iran), to right an old humiliation, with their friends the French. The Americans desperately hold on until the British and our new friends the Germans come to the rescue.
  6. What is CM: Normandy?? I dont see any reference to it on the website. I gather it is a WWII game, a remake of the original?? Is it due out soon so we can hope to get CMSF2 someday in the relatively near future?? Like a couple of years??
  7. It is too bad they are going to add all that heavy firepower on the NATO side without anyone that can stand up to it on the Syrian side. You say there will be a CMSF2 with real adversaries for the Blue side. That would be great. Hopefully it will have the ability to do Russia vs China, Russia vs Georgia, Ukraine, etc, as well.
  8. Hopefully you will ban the Troll and thanks for the info on when the Brits module will be out. Hopefully you will do a Russian Module, a German Module, a French Module and others in years to come.
  9. >>It's funny... if we give a date and we miss it, people complain. If we don't give a date because we think we might miss it, people complain. If we stick to a hard date and release something that isn't ready, people complain. So the only solution is to not give dates and to release it when it's finished<< So how about a hint, this week, this month, this quarter? That wouldnt be giving a date. And I promise not to complain one way or the other <VBG>
  10. It doesnt happen with every scenario but with one I designed (which is fairly large) and some of the longer stock games it boots the computer that joined mine out of the game. It seems to happen at about the same point in the game each time. Any ideas? Thanks. Bill
  11. Thats too bad. I hope they add some more onboard equipment too. Like artillery etc. I would think they could a least add some more middle east enemies to this even if they do a seperate Nato/Warsaw type game later.
  12. Hi Moon, Thanks anyway But I was able to get it fixed. For some reason it became unstable with the 4 GB of memory I have had in there for months and wouldnt even post. I took two out and it wouldnt boot so I moved the two to the other channel slots and it started fine. The really funny opart is I then put the first two sticks back in the now empty slots and it is runnibg fine. I guess the memory sticks just wanted a change of view <VBG>. Thanks again. Take care. Bill
  13. Good Morning, I put CMSF/Marines that I got by download into two computers last week one of which just crashed. How do I get that one unlicensed so I can put it in another computer until I get mine fixed. I am having withdrawl symptons already as I cant beat my son on the network games we were playing <VBG> anymore. Actually he trounces me most games. Thanks for any help. Take care. Kodiak
  14. Thanks for the info on where to find the Mosques. The one thing I miss in the new downloadable games is a bound manual but I understand why they do it. I find e-manuals very hard to get much out of. I havent seen any minarets in the scenario's yet so I assume there arent any? Hopefully they will add them. I hope they add more countries and locations as time goes on. I can think of a few I would like to see added: Israel Iran Iraq Afghanistan Russia Georgia Ukraine France Germany etc etc etc Hopefully they will continue to add countries and locations so you could simulate just about any modern conflict. They possibilities are endless. Any idea if they have any interest in expanding it? This is such a great game and much better than the original it was derived from.
  15. Hi All, I am pretty new to the game but I think it is great. I may be missing something but is there any way to make a mosque and or a minaret when designing scenarios. Thanks. Kodiak
  16. I notice the MGO review also says the end of July. Seems like these reviewers know something we dont.
  17. I notice no one has denied the 7/31 release date. “Put your trust in God; but mind to keep your powder dry!”— Oliver Cromwell
  18. Speaking of stunning revelations, I notice no one has denied the 7/31 release date from the gamespot review. “Put your trust in God; but mind to keep your powder dry!”— Oliver Cromwell

  20. Is that 18 for playing or posting SC? Already he is a better opponent than the computer.
  21. Has anyone noticed that you can use the undo move feature as a way to do recon cheating. My 10 year old son sends out his ships to look for my subs when playing with fog of war and if he doesnt find it the first time he hits undo move and sends it out in another direction until he finds the sub or covers all the possible area he can with that unit. Then he moves on to the next unit until he exhausts them all.
  22. Ireland is for Europe and shipping for US will come out of somewhere in US .
  23. In the first place you are confusing tactical airpower with strategic. Bombing german factories, or North Vietnam's factories or Iraq's factories is Strategic bombing. Attacking tanks, planes, infantry and supplies are for the most part tactical. This has been far more succesful than strategic bombing has ever been in any war. As some one pointed out earlier strategic bombing is primarily symbolic and has never won a war yet. In fact the Italian General who invented the concept stated its intended purpose was to strike terror into the hearts of the civilian population and thus destroy a countries will to fight. It has never accomplished this once. Not against the British in WWII or the Russians or the Germans. If that isnt the intent then why did we bomb Berlin suburbs flat? Why did we firebomb Dresden flat? Why did we nuke Hiroshima and Nagasaki? All of those cities had two things in common; militarily they where about valuless but physically they were mostly intact so they made good demonstration targets. Airpower has neve won a war and never will. If the Allies destroyed the German oil industry with strategic bombing how is it they managed to mount all those little offensives in 1944 - 45 like the Battle of the Bulge. The fact of the matter is ground troops denied them the oilfields and they were producing synthetic fuel in factories. How were they able to shift troops back and forth from the eastern front to the western front right up to the end of the war? How come we couldnt stop the Scud missles in Iraq? These are just a few thought that come to mind if airpower is so effective. Again I say airpower is mostly ineffective, largely symbolic and nobody (except an airdale) ever believed it won a war. WIth all due respect IMHO.
  24. Strategic bombing was pretty much a flop anyway. If you look at the stats, Germany was producing more of every class of war material in 1945 than in any other year right up until the point when the Allies overran the factories. At best Strategic bombing was a nuisance and may have slowed German production some but Germany's real problem was manpower not material.
