  1. Hubert, Any thoughts on having a knockout PBEM tourney with the prize being having a free SC2 game when it comes out or something similar?
  2. Again repeating myself! Just my two pennies worth of input. I smacked Germany and Italy by April 2, 1944. Computer on +2 experience and expert level. It seems that the computer could not form a comprehensive strategy and do armor breakthroughs. It took over most of Europe, but got beaten back down. If you form a cohesive defensive line in Russia by taking advantage of the terrain, the computer gets bogged down. Well I guess this is food for thought for SC2! BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Hey Gorski! Got game yet??? By the way, the allies' score was pretty low due to all the units that it has lost #132. Now next, let me see how the computer does as allies with the same setting! Seigheil! What else can you throw against me Hubert? Hehehehe!
  3. No it is doable if you know what you are doing. I would bet anyone that I can do this pretty much routinely anytime. Hubert knows this also on the downside of the computer AI. I used to be a military man myself. It's always a question of concentration of force and how you use it. Plain and simple.

  5. Great game Hubert! Kudos! What ideas are you toying with for SC2? A world map? Smaller hex size? Whole WW2? Improved editor with terrain changing capabilities? More varied units - paratroops, marines, nuclear bombs, builds for minors? Flexibility for MPPs- transfer to allies, bribes to neutral countries, espionage? Improved technology range? Blitzing ability for armor? Coordinating multiple attacks? I know your fans are eagerly awaiting for the sequel! Thanks!
  6. YOHOOOO!!!My game came in (location near Orange County, CA). Yum-yum! Cee yah all!!!
  7. Hubert, It's saddening to find out that there is no PBEM in the gold demo. Is this for security reasons?
  8. Is the gold demo being released tomorrow with preodering? Hubert!!!!
  9. There should be no historical handicapping as you are playing this game with hindsight and you use whatever tactic or strategy in order to win! That's the purpose of this game. To exercise what if scenarios and use your wit and imagination to the fullest. If you have to squeeze every single MPP or sacrifice others, go for it. If Hubert holds a tourney for the right to be in the beta of SC2, what would you do quo vadis?
  10. Follow-up to my post - I think there should be a gradual upscale where industrial production increases for the major countries. (to reflect how thier industries grew from 1940-45)But the game is almost ready to be shipped. A formula should have been made to reflect historical levels of MPPs produced for each site. Well, maybe for SC2. Also routing major units should reflect captured materiel/equipment with a certain amount of MPPs going to the victor - say for example- corps 5-7 MPPs, army, 10-15 MPPs, tank 14-18, HQ- 25-40 MPPs, not applicable to ships or planes though. Well I guess another thought for SC2.
  11. There was a Germany first priority and the US focused more of its industrial production for Europe.
  12. Of course do not abandon your initial defensive lines as you could not withdraw every single French force to Britain. Germany will crash thru within two to four turns regardless of your resistance after the fall of the lower countries. I am sure invading Denmark is always a threat to Germany and going down to Kiel. But like I mentioned earlier, if the German player knows what he is doing, this would be an exercise in futility.
  13. Yes, but you are forgetting ships, planes, ammo, supply, etc. Any thoughts Hubert?
  14. How accurate is the US MPP production at 1941? I don't think 180 MPPs is an accurate reflection- as the US provided vast amount of materiel to Britain and Russia. I think the US should get an initial MPP of 1500 in reserves to reflect the industrial strength of the US. I guess just edit a campaign. The way things look right now, Germany does not have to fear the US if it is a pursuing a Britain first stratagem. Also, this would make ermany more careful of trying to take out neutral nations with the US joining looming. Yes the US was not prepared for war in 1941 but gez, it had the industrial capacity that surpassed Russia during WW2. Any thoughts or corrections on this?
