  1. SC Is too big in scale to implement the Finns well. As Finnish army was small 300.000 - 500.000 men and that 500.000 was only in attack phase 1941 and otherwise it was only 300k - 400k to keep industry rolling. Finnish population at the time was only ~3 500 000. As the battle fields were pretty much always dense forests so it was impossible to use big formations what are needed in grand strategic level games. Adding more Finns to the game would twist the history a lot. Finnish strugle would be great tactical game though. Scale something like what is used in Panzer Campaigns.
  2. Well. About adding Finnish strugle to the game aint too important. Btw. I am a Finn.. As there is only the Karelian isthmus on the map and Finland had only one "army" positioned there. The Karelian Army, it was small one if compared to German or Russian Army. And also this game is grand strategy in scale where small Finnish units are difficult to implement. Finns would need uberstatus to do any good on battle. As historic point of view usually one depleted finnish infantry battallion fought against much bigger Soviet formations, sometimes one battallion against division. 1941-1943 Finnish Army outnumbered Soviets though as Finnish Front was secondary and static one. About those movies.. I prefer the old (1955) Tuntematon Sotilas (Unkown Soldier, http://us.imdb.com/Title?0048752 ) Its the best war film that describes pretty well the war in finnish point of view. Its not about the Winter War though, but about the Continunation War 1941-1944. Talvisota (Winter War, http://us.imdb.com/Title?0098437 ) Is pretty good also. Then there is newer version of Tuntematon Sotilas (1985) http://us.imdb.com/Title?0090215

  4. While i played the demo i invaded the low countries and France and took out the low countries in a turn. I moved some spare units next Yogoslavia and declared war. I fought around the Paris and took out the Ygos in few turns.. (I had only infantry taking the Paris and it took some time). Then i declared war to Rumania and Bulgars. Then Russia declared war to me. I took the Paris and rushed my infantry to eastern front and italians fought bitterly around the Rumanian oil fields against the Guard Tank Army and several USSR rifle corps and Rumanian infantry. I lost eastern german cities to Red Horde but when my troops arrived from France i managed to recapture them. My Italian Panzer Groups did breaktrhough in Rumania. Demo ended while i was feeding German Panzer from that gap and my spearheads fought around Kiev. But i still had though time around Army Group Nord. Very nice game indeed. The situation map looked pretty funny when the demo ended.
