In the 80s at my my secondary comprehensive it wasn't overly patriotic - sung hymns at assembly and had readings i.e Scott of the Antarctic.
At air cadets a bit more respectful for the order of things - as needed to understand what a salute represented in the chain of things andr orders and obeying them.
All against a background of The Goodies and OTT Tim Broook-Taylor - early antidote to rise of contemorory popular nationalism. i.e Farage.

So personally patriotic as weak tea, and from a sampling of Facebook friends it seems flag waving nationlism is mainly confined to folk who have served or have family that have served, next stage down and quite popular is stability from Queen and royal family as Queenies been around for living memory despite the shenanigans around her.
Schools nowadays have on syllabus 'British values' taught quite liberally. Still not quite the same as mindless flag worship.

    Thoroughly enjoyable fight...
... if you forced me to be overly nit-picky I'd say the reinforcements came pretty late... but, as those troops were likely smoking hashish or something, that's not exactly unexpected.

Appeal for regrading as the current marking algorithm is flawed

Tourists can 'marry' a Dutch local in new Tourism initiative
"...tourists can marry a local for a day, go on a date while weeding or pluck and eat a city pigeon in a new initiative designed to combat the negative effects of overtourism.
One of those activities is “Marry An Amsterdammer”, where a local and a visitor are matched up for a wedding ceremony, complete with rings, vows and proper attire. The ceremony takes around 35 minutes, said Linz, and the "honeymoon" is spent exploring lesser-known spots in the city.
The marriage is is symbolic rather than legally binding. "It's a chance for a visitor to have a meaningful encounter with a local," Minsk told The Independent.
Other quirky activities include “weed dating”, where a visitor is matched with a local to know each other while pulling out weeds at an urban farm; walking a local elderly person around a park; or plucking and eating a city pigeon at a local artists' studio."

Wicky reacted to 37mm in Invisible tank destroyed
The intervening tank is in a ditch... the first shot penetrates this "suspected tank" (its not truly invisible as there is an icon there) & then hits the visible tank in the hull (presumably the result of a shot aimed low).
The second shot hits the visible tank in the turret (presumably the result of a shot aimed high).
The tank in the ditch has a lower profile & is more easily concealed by foilage, dust etc...despite this concealment the tank in the ditch has no real cover from the low first shot.
There is absolutely no issue with this sequence of events.

Excellent thanks. Always interesting to see how other players tackled a scenario once you yourself have completed it.

In this case rather depressing given how few casualties you suffered in comparison to my effort. Although in my defence it was only my 3rd CMFI scenario.

I'm not seeing a gun barrel penetrated in this pic. I'm seeing a damaged muzzle brake that would likely not prevent the gun from firing.

Really - you'd be happy to fire a 90mm high explosive projectile down a barrel that is that badly damaged, and potentially partially blocked. I was never a tanker, but if that had ever happened to my rifle I sure as hell would not have fired another round. Guns and their associated mountings and recoil systems are pieces of high precision engineering, with very small tolerances. If these are exceeded, due to damage or other external factors, they stop working as designed and that is inherently dangerous given the amounts of energy at play.

As above guncrew does seems in a weird lay low loop - only way to get them up and going was to give them a target fire order within their visibility range i.e 5m or so then they jumped out of their fugue and traversed the aim of the gun ( triedto keep ahead of them not allowing them to actually fire just in case the HE caused self inflicted casualties at such close range)
Once that was achieved they would accept additional commands again as fast as I could give em in real time. And cooly took out a pesky Sherman.

@Erwin, fwiw didn't have any problems installing any of the cmx2 games on my win10 machine a while ago, nor with windows defender and afaik I haven't setup any exclusions. I also have two disks, on is fast SSD with windows and some games on it. Other is large SATA disk. I guess the main difference is that I'm an 'IT guy' myself 🙂
One question: why do you install the games in on C:\sims\? I used to do that as well long time ago, but programs are supposed to be installed in the \program files directory and since windows has been more active with security and permissions, that could be one explanation: some sort of under the hood permission violation.
It's a shot in the dark, but you could just try installing in the usual directory to see if that gives a different result.
