  1. Is there a list of people who play tacops by E-mail? If so, where can I find it? How slow are E-mail games?
  2. Thanks, Fenwick is a bit "Rambo", but the other two are excellent suggestions. I tried the desert bridge defense after substituting hmmwv's in various configs for the afv's, and got spanked, going to try it again though, maybe add some apache support, light cav isn't built to stand in defense against armor...
  3. To anyone, I am a Scout NCO, and my new Troop has a small problem. Including myself, there are 2 MOS qualified personnel in the unit, A Corporal, and A PFC. All the other members were Tankers up until about 2 months or so ago. I am hoping to use TACOPS CAV as a tool to at least help the senior leadership get used to the scout mentality rather than the tanker mentality. Can anyone give me an idea as to a list and order of scenarios that would meet the needs of a light cav troop, to convey the corret methodology and tempo of recon operations? Just something to get started with, before we go to AT and get our asses handed to us because everyone wants to run into combat rather than hide and sneak. thanks

    New TacOps

When Tacops V4 is released, will it be improved from TACOPSCAV? I will probably buy it just to help support development, but what differences can I expect from the Army version I have?
  5. I will try using a different machine. I had to use this PFC's computer, since the armory doesn't have a burner, and neither do I. thanks for the advice. Great game by the way. You can count on me as a gauranteed buyer for the WWII version when it comes out. and also for version 5 of the standard TACOPS.
  6. I received my copy of TACOPSCAV at my drill this weekend, and the POC at Knox said I should copy it for others in the Troop who wanted copies for themselves. But when I tried to burn a copy, it said that it was copyrighted, and then their was a data read error. Any suggestions? Other than V1, this is the only version I have played, and it is incredible. Trying to beat Mizokawa now, and going mounted in Hummers initially was a mistake, so now I am trying a direct heliborne assault.
  7. I had read that the Major was working on a WWII version, but after reading some of the other posts, I found that the development had been put off indefinitely. As far as I know, that situation still stands.
  8. Is there any word on a projected release date for the wwII version of Tacops? BTW, I downloaded the freeware version of V1 about a week ago, since then I have played it almost non-stop, ordered V3 from battlefront, and requested TACOPSCAV for my National Guard Cavalry troop. Great game.
