  3. If you have not any tank left you should try with an engineer squad using their sachtel charges, but put all the chances in their side, buttoned tank from rear less than 40 m. away by nigth. I have a pict from AK which shows it. [ March 07, 2004, 12:41 PM: Message edited by: Sargento Garcia ]

  9. Hi Lameduck, what "people" are you talking about in your topic? even if I find sense on some of your "demands" I don't think it is the way things work with the makers of the game. They are making a pleasure of they job and have several thousand customer who will buy any future work coming from them,no matter what, so try to edit quickly your topic, I promise I don't tell anybody
  10. After read this thread, I have played as italian, without change the defense set up, I have win the IA by a tactical victory. As defender I did send away the small italian tanks, reverse to the middle of the fort. After realising that only infantry was coming from the rearside all my tanks were sent there, mopped up the moving soldiers at the cemetery and took 29 pow, After the mine fields (6 kills) some Matildas did it into the perimeter, but only four of them survived to the 75 mm AA (two kills) , the brave ethiopean HQ who was lucky enough to hit with normal hand granades (one kill). I could have sent out the map the trucks, because they were helpless, that would have reduced my losses (17 vehicles) but anyway it was impresive to see how easy the italian cemetery fulled up with the corpses of the allied forces.
  11. hi all; for instance I like the planes in CM and I do play with them a lot. IMO the regular planes are of little use, you get adequate pilotes starting by vet. level My two eurocents
  12. I believe that an HQ giving orders to mortar carriers was implemented in CMBB first, In CMBO this is not possible to do. Mis dos centimos de euro...
  13. I don't know, any HE left in my tanks, I did a lot of area firing before the close assault.
  14. In fact you can. Just order area fire besides the ennemy position. Who is Bill?
  15. The history begins in 1943 some part in Finland. QB. Allied with some armor and arty support against a group of Jaakari with some tanketes and time to dig themselves on a reverse slope; Assault Odds and Human pick forces for both sides. I select a compact and well balanced attack group and kick the AI's ass really nice. Some minutes before the end of the exercise and with some flags already in Allied Star, my troops have encercled some poor guys in a small forest, two T-34/57 are in their way close-assaulting from both sides of the woods, it is all by the book and my iMac DV G3 has frozen only once since the first "Go". As I am watching closely (always curious to see the surrender moments) I realize that Ser Glebov' Tank is shooting round after round to the encercled enemy, but all of them are AP. With still 13 canister rounds in the rack, one hand protecting the fumes of powder from entering his eyes and with half a bottle of finnish vodka in the other he is shouting to his men: YES! and, GO! LOAD FASTER!MORE TO THE LEFT I'D SAY! He only stops to drink again and in his eyes a strange ligth begin to appears. The turn ends an I order Glebov to start area firing the woods and stop drinking dry, otherwise he gets court martialed in Siberie. Next turn Canister rounds begin to fall and five enemy men surrender almost inmediatly. Question: Is it always like you have to order area fire to get canister answers? Evidence: Two saved files from the assault. Some comments? Juan
  16. Hi all, I did a small scenario with one of this monsters on it, actually is a joy to play with (the battle I mean). If you play as Axis, the Sturm show fast both his power and his weakness. At the Allied side you can beat it with ease (against the AI). And you can imagine how it feels when I listened the first round from a regular T-34 ripping it off About the area of the impact: In an hilly landscape, and with troops in some form of cover, or around buildings or factories, foxholes even, the lethal zone is wider than any other in CM but surely not 300m. If somebody want to play this scenario mail me to jcarballo@noos.fr. Thanks to all who contribute with his time to this interesting and quite funny forum. Juan
  17. First of all, congratulations to the people who made posible this wonderful game (wich I'm playing since the last century without interruption) Second: An humble request to the russian members of this forum, Zarkov? Could you compile a small phonetical dictionary in your mother language containing the important ingame stuff , because I can get only "fascists!" and "hurrah!" it could be very useful for the players. Thanks a lot. [ September 16, 2002, 07:47 AM: Message edited by: Sargento Garcia ]
