  1. Funny this should come up. I have this exact issue in a PBEM I'm playing as Germans against ChappyCanuck. I have 3.11. No vehicle pack (yet) though.
  2. Your link takes me to The War, directed by Ken Burns. The original is in English. It was broadcast on public television in the US. Shouldn't be hard to find (compared to learning French). Keep looking! It's worth seeing.
  3. Ah, the sound of birdsong, trees blowing in the wind, bullets pinging off a T-34, the dulcet tones of Russian conscrpts shouting "OOORAAAHH", followed shortly thereafter by what I think must be Russian for "Oh Sh*T!" ... GREAT job BTS. I've never been much of an Eastern Front fan, but this may change my mind. Big thumbs up for extreme fog of war and more realistic troop behavior too.
  4. I see that I am finally what I have always aspired to be - a good loser. I have learned some lessons from round one, and I believe I have identified the bits of the game I need to work on. 1. My infantry tactics need a little work. 2. My artillery tactics need a little work. 3. My armor tactics need a little work. 4. My combined arms tactics need a little work. Other than those four minor flaws my game is excellent, so watch out.
  5. Cpl Carrot, Not to nitpick, but could you possibly change my name from 'yamaluk' to 'yarmaluk' on the Uruk Hai page? Thanks. Having a blast, by the way. A little too much of one in some cases ...
  6. Oh yeah. Duh. I guess I was surprised enough by the AI pushing a tank to forget that. As for the Shermans, that's all part of the fun ...
  7. Something weird happened while I was playing against the AI the other night. I was playing one of the DFDR scenarios as Allies. Everything was going great. Knocked out a bunch of Mark IVs with my Shermans through a stunning combination of bold command, brilliant tactics, and a hell of a lot of good luck. I panned over to see the remaining Axis armor. There was one veteran Mark IV left, right behind a knocked out Mark IV. I panned back to my side of the map to finish off the battle. I never knokced out the last Mark IV, but I did have four or five Shermans picked off. At the end of the game, I looked at the remaining Mark IV again. It had moved ~30-40 meters, and appeared to have pushed the knocked out Mark IV ahead of itself for cover! So my questions are: 1) Can the AI do that? 2) How can I do that? and 3) Hey ... is that gamey?
