anyone got one of the following or similiar? Dell Inspiron 8200 (geforce 4M, UXGA+) Gateway 600XL (ATI 7500, SXGA) Compaq presario 2800 (ATI 7700, SXGA) What system do you have and how does CM play and other games? Trying to decide, thanks.

Hi I know this seems like a trivial problem but I've been having trouble with other games(eg Shogun TW)and I'm wondering if finding out the cause of this CM problem will help me out. When I start CM I do not see the intro movie. I have never hit the shift key while starting the game. I have never seen the movie after deleting and redoing the preference file. I have Windows ME with Windows Media Player. I've noticed that when I open Windows Media player and play the movie directly it works but theres no sound. Anybody know whats going on. thanks

How can i tell what the bit depth and sampling frequency of a wave file? Is there a reader program I need? Know any freeware thats good? thanks

Got new computer this week. Athlon 1900, GeForce 3, all the latest drivers are installed, this thing should fly. Was able to play CM before, but today when I start game I get black screen (can hear sound). I've been able to escape out back to desktop most of the time but the last time it happened the computer was totally locked up and I had to cut power. Also my desktop screen is now shifted to the right so I have a 1/2" bar of black running down the left. Rebooting doesn't help. A related problem which happened earlier: Game loaded but graphics were crap and camera movement stuttered along - not smooth as usual. Possible culprit: Loaded a game that came with computer called gunlock. I think problems started up shortly after. Any ideas how to fix this?? thanks

got some sound mods from WarfareHQ and listened to them individually while out of game and they sounded fine. Once I got in the game though,things got wierd. Distorted voice mods sounding like a slowed down record (think it's german commands but can't tell for sure). Any ideas whats going on? Any way to tell before installing which mods will turn bad? When downloaded from site files were MP3. I converted to wav before installing. Could it have to do with conversion? :confused:

hi just got full game and am playing it with windows ME. when I hit alt-s I am prompted to enter file name for save, but nothing actually saves. saved games folder is blank. :confused:

Hi. Soon I am buying a new PC system. I want to play CM and avoid the graphics and play problems people on this post seem to be having. What systems, graphic card, ect is optimal? Who out there is not having problems & what kind of hardware do you have?? thanks :confused:
