Polish Push! Polish certainly pushed me out of the city. Bitching time! My Shrek took couple of shots from 30 metres only to hit the gun + finally immobilizing the cromwell...No points for that My gun managed to kill 1 cromwell and miss 2 shots from 200 metres to a cromwell that wasn't moving and was sidearmour towards the gun. sigh... This scenario was my fiasco and Jarmo who commanded Polish troops did good job eliminating my threats. My men didn't surrender though As I look at the scoreboard I can see unbeliavable victories with krauts. I can only say that I missed something in this defence scenario which you Pro's didn't I'm an attack specialist damn it! :mad: Now it's out of the system, maybe I can sleep okay from now on... I must admit that I was the one that couldn't penetrate the turret with pine cone. But I was a bit fuzzy after my head butt test. In the last picture (up in the middle), you can see the crack that was the result of my test...No penetration though And Juha, since I outrank you, I'd prefer you would use 'Sir' when referring to me - Ali

Hi lads! TB155, Tourney 1, Section 1: I have good news and bad news. Good news is that 1 game finished with Jarmo (ages ago) and 2 games with THumpre and Ricochet are past halfpoint and going steady. Bad news are that game with Fate is on halt until 17th of July (Fate is playing Popeye ). We have played 12 turns and I hope we can manage to end it in time. MrSpkr haven't yet send a setup for our game (which is longest btw). He's on a holiday, so I understand it. I should be getting my setup turn next week, but problem is that I start my holiday and probably can't send turns at same pace as I usually do We agreed with MrSpkr that we play our game TCP-IP, if necessary. I don't like this option, because breafing says that it is an assault. Assault means that I probably have lots of men and I'd like to think my actions carefully. Count me in. Place me in the same section with battle scarred veteran Joseph Porta . In Nordic scenarios me and Porta managed to get 1,5 megabyte file when our forces clashed. It wasn't pretty, but it was pure fun! Our tanks didn't sissily peek over hills, we charged! Suprise we didn't qualify for the next round :cool: - Ali

Yo! I have a simple question to fellow CM players. All my survived men have exited the map in exit scenario and there is still 4 turns left. If I cease fire now and ask my foe to do same, will the result be same that, it would be if we play it to end? I think it will be same, am I right? Cheers, Ali

Lads! Don't get me wrong, but I just have to say this. Treeburst155, Nabla and Wild Bill Wilder have created an interesting and fine opportunity to us Nordlanders to fight for the crown. And how are we repaying them? We can't even stick to the schedule we have been given and WE ALL ACCEPTED the timetable!!! :mad: We only give more headache for Treeburst155 whom is hosting other tournaments as well. (He has to find more opponents or Nabla have to adjust his scoring system...). Hang in there Treeburst155, you're doing a great job! As Treeburst155 said, timetable is flexible to a certain limit. If you're not able to play all games in given time, please inform this ASAP and give some sort of estimate when you probably will finish. I suck at the scenarios, but it doesn't mean that I can't do them on time. I've been lucky because our section 4, has gone pretty smoothly in time, except one player who seems to be a bit slower than other five (please send a turn!). Pass the pipe - Ali

Tero: I think your point is that you have orders from your superiors not to destroy any public property if it's not necessary?! If you see a building and you suspect that there is a sniper or arty spotter, wouldn't you blow up the building? You should see Band of Brothers Episode 4, where infantry unit spots an enemy tank behind a building. Infantry soldier says to British Sherman commander to blow up the building, but Commander refuses because he has orders not to destroy property! Shermie and following Cromwell(not sure it's Cromwell) drives to the spot they would propably see the enemy tank..Boom, Boom, no more Shermie or Cromwell... Another example from BoB episode 7: Commander spots 2 sharpshoteers in top of building (Holes in attic level) and orders accompanying Mortars to take them out.. and they do take them out. But these American troops did not have any order to avoid destroying property. Okay, it's a movie but still... My opinion is it's not a gamey tactic, so blast those barns to the sky! Ali
