  1. Oops! My bad - I had even watched it. Doh! Have subscribed. And thanks again - really helpful.
  2. It was an OpenGL issue. A Google search led me to a fix involving tweaks to the Nvidia Control Panel (sorry, I didn't save the link). Just in case anyone else experiences this.
  3. Amazing work, thank you! Is the link in the original post always the latest version, or does one have to search through this thread to find it? Again, many thanks for doing this - mods for CM can be a bit of a minefield, so an all-in-one is a godsend...
  4. Thanks, Ian. Never seen in all 20-odd years of playing CM. Have logged a ticket.
  5. Furthermore, I've now had two CTDs while simply trying to do a new save (not overwrite an existing one to save space), the last of which froze the PC and required a hard reboot As it stands, I can't continue. is this something to do with CM overall, or is it related to the user-made campaign?
  6. Hi, Experiencing a problem with CMRT that I've not experienced in any of the other CM games I've played before. I have five saved games from the first mission of the Kampfgruppe Von Schroif user-made campaign. Saves 003 and 005 will not load - the read data process reaches ~2% and then CTDs. Saves 001, 002 & 004 load OK. Can't attach the saves, as they're too big, even compressed. Thanks in advance - reluctant to go too deep into the campaign, if the save process is dodgy...
  7. Agreed, which is why I do it, have done it and will conitnue to do it for virtually everything BF has released/will release since its inception. The point was more about comms than about the principle of pre-ordering.
  8. Sort of agree with you, as I would not have expected to wait over 2 months for release following pre-order, but it does give Battlefront some cash flow and offers them an idea of initial sales numbers, so I'm happy to support as long as my own cash flow isn't too negatively impacted at the time. Still, some more comms about how things are going wouldn't go amiss - managing my expectations now you've taken my money and all that. Costs nothing and stops threads like these getting feisty...
  9. Sounds like a no-brainer to me... Wonder what the ratio of Mac users to Windows users is in terms of players of CM?
  10. Well, I'd be fascinated to hear how you got through the mission, if you can remember.
  11. Interesting. When did you play it, M.H.? Perhaps something changed with v2.11? As it stands I have no freedom of movement at all on the map - the HTs spot and destroy anything that moves into their 'normal' line of sight, despite the conditions (snow blizzard, night), and I can't spot them unless I'm right on top of them. By which point I'm dead.
  12. Not sure. Perhaps 3rd or 4th. Which is the 2nd mission again? Either way, I would advise not to try Snow Blind until there's a patch for the .50 cal - mightily frustrating.
  13. Opposite for me! Mission is unplayable with the all-seeing, all-destroying M3 HTs...
  14. Thx, Ben, wilco. How do I get the save file <2Mb?! It's an 11.7Mb file, and compressing it only gets it to 9.2Mb.
  15. SPOILERS! I think this has been reported previously, but I'm not aware of any fix: The spotting of the M3 halftrack gunners in this mission doesn't seem to be in keeping with the mission visibility parameters - it is a snow blizzard at night, and visibility for my troops (Axis) is about 100-200m. The M3 gunners however appear to have no such restrictions and decimate anything on the map. They can seemingly see my troops without the latter being able to spot the halftracks. As such, the only option seems to be to do nothing and just fast forward through each turn for an hour and 20 minutes (yawn). Anyone else notice this or have found a way of completing the mission?
  16. @BFCElvisWilco. Thanks for the heads up Btw love Elvis Costello. Pump it up...
  17. Thanks, guys. Either way, it's a bit of a trawl through the orders to find the relevant activation codes, then install the big bundle for each game, and then try to apply the activation codes in the right order (I remember the last time I did this that it wasn't straightforward, and I had lots of fun with error messages about products not being licensed or similar). Anyways up, it is what it is - I'll just have to suck it when when I decide I want to play CMBN/CMFI/CMRT/CMFB again. @BFCElvisSeems a little agricultural, but your suggestion about putting all the orders and activation codes in Notepad or Word or whatever probably makes sense. Maybe one day they'll port the whole shebang over to Steam?
  18. Indeed. Is there a sticky for how to re-install all the games from scratch? I searched the forum but couldn't find anything. I know many dislike Steam, but it would make this whole thing a bit more, well, 2022. Perhaps I'll take the re-installation process on again, when the new packs for CMx2 are released...
  19. Oh golly! I had the same question as the OP, but I'm not sure I can be bothered to go through the whole thing again (having done it several times before, but I still need to consult the forum each time about how to do it). I've 23 different orders listed in My Accounts, and I'm not sure I have the will to trawl through them to find the original games of CMBN, CMFI & CMRT plus all the modules and then the v4.0 upgrade. I remember it took me ages last time, and I ended up having to write down on a piece of paper which products the order numbers were for. All very 2022...
  20. Glad I'm not the only one, who lets stuff like that bother me!
  21. Absolutely Rafter11. I was taught different pre-contact platoon and company formations at Sandhurst. It's basic infantry doctrine and dictates how units move across different terrain in different risk settings. I too would love the game to take a little of the micro-management of such things away from me, because most of the campaigns (inc. the new Battle Pack 1) are btn level, and it's just so tiresome having to manage each section's formation and orders on an individual basis.
  22. Good spot, Kennie. For those of you, who, like me, struggled to find Battle Pack 1 "stealth release" in the Store yesterday, go to Store - CMBN - and about half way down the list of modules, upgrades, etc., you will see the Battle Pack 1. It requires the Vehicle Pack too, which I don't have, so this makes it a USD30 (20 for the Vehicle Pack + 10 for the Battle Pack) investment. Just FYI.
