  1. I'm confused. Theatre of War (ToW) looks great and I look forward to playing a decent WWII RTS game after this genre had been plagued by fantastic and futuristic RTS games. But, is this where the CM series is going? Is ToW = CM3? Will CMSF be based on this gaming engine? Is PBEM dead? I like the real-time aspect of ToW but I also like thinking out my moves via PBEM. I hope I'm not the only one that has this on their mind. And if these questions have been answered elsewhere already, just send me a link to the forum thread. Thanks, Albert
  2. Peter, Here's an update. Directed Energy Weapons Face Hurdles This article has a good scenario example of how "Less Lethal" weapons are to be combined and used. Albert
  3. If you ever get e-mailed a file called "'winmail.dat" you can download a decoder called "WMDecode" (scroll half way down the website to find the file or just search for "WMDecode.zip") that will allow you to access the attachment you are desperate for. Albert
  4. You guys planned this trip too late. I was down at Ft Knox for CALFEX this year (July 29th) and visited the Patton museum as well. Best part of all, it was all part of my job (most expenses paid). It would have been great if your trip aligned with mine. Anyway, I took some pictures of CALFEX and the museum, which I will post soon. Enjoy your visit to the museum and bring/drink lot's of water. Albert
  5. Is there a way to tell what setup values were used in a QB during the game (ie after the game has started). I set up the game myself, but I can't remember how many points I set things up for. Thanks, Albert
  6. I wasn't thinking about the "movie playback" feature as Karch explained it. It would behoove BTS to make sure a free demo is available that can play any CMBB movie, or as I stated before, have a seperate "movie playback" application that is available for free via download. Albert
  7. I agree with Xerxes. If it's too much trouble to be in the game, make it a seperate application that's a free download. But by all means, don't forego this feature!
  8. What e-mail program are you using? I had a similar problem using yahoo mail, but if you look closely, you can click the "download attachments" text in the upper right corner. That will bring you to a window where you have the option to download the PBEM file sent to you as an attachment. Using Winzip is another solution that actually saves you download/upload time, but sometimes it's difficult getting your opponent to remember to zip up the PBEM file before sending it. Albert
