  1. hehe fellas, I still don't get it so I visit the Peng Challenge threads, but what a bunch of garbled, non sensical giberish. In a funny, but weird, kind of way.
  2. Hello, At the screen where you choose your scenario, my screen has absolutely no text where the scenarios are listed. When i click where a scenario should be, and click ok, I go to the next screen where you decide difficulty and side. Again, no text. When I launch a scenario, some text is missing, and other text have a white bar highlight on them. The onscreen graphics, such as tanks and landscape, are otherwise ok. This problem occurs on all versions (1.0,1.1,1.2) The game ran perfectly before, although the last time I played was 2 months ago. Since then, I have changed my video card settings but can't find out how to get them back to allow CMBB to work. Can anyone help me here? Any suggestions are much appreciated. 3. I asked once before, and all I received was the "n00b!" treatment. I see that the Peng Challenge threads receive like 500 replies and such, so it must be important.
  4. I don't think there is, but here is whay i'm asking. Say you have 10 vehicles, and you want them to follow a road that has many curves. Is there a way to plot the waypoints for just the lead vehicle, and then have the other 9 vehicles follow the lead vehicle. It gets tedious plotting 10 different waypoints when they're all going to the same destination.
  5. Hello, Is Easy company in this game? Does it have missions such as Bastogne, Eindhoven, and other missions the 506th fought in? Also, does the game have the real squad leaders listed for each platoon and battalion, such as Winters, Lipton, Martin, and others? Lastly, what experience rating do they give Easy company and the other companies of the 506th? [ January 06, 2003, 01:09 AM: Message edited by: Oasis ]
  6. It seems to never know what it wants to do. If it has a number of tanks in a town or city, it will go back and forth over the same streets, never making a cohesive advance toward the flags. With troops, instead of spreading them out, it'll place all of them in one tiny patch of woods, and all of them will come pouring out of the woods at the same location. I don't think the AI has improved as an attacker at all. Defending it does ok, but it never shows much initiative. Just an observation, I'm not complaining, this is a kick butt game.
  7. I think it would be nice to have internet play, say where there are rooms, and 4 or more players can play in the same game. This won't be in the final version, will it? Or will the multiplay be just like CMBO?
  8. For the resolution size, in CMBO you would delete a file, I believe called "preferences" in one of the game folders. It may be different for CMBTB though.
  9. Thanks Schrullenhaft and Sock Monkey. Its fellas like you that remind me that there is humanity out there [ 07-06-2001: Message edited by: Oasis ]
  10. I disabled the Full Scene Anti-Aliasing, but it didn't solve the problem. The Hercules 3d prophet is not based on the nVidia chipset so it does not use nVidia drivers. Instead, it uses the Kyro II chipset, of which I have the latest driver. [ 07-04-2001: Message edited by: Oasis ]
  11. During gameplay, where the boxes for unit name, time, terrain unit is in, morale, and unit status are displayed, all will display the same thing, such as time left, or maybe all will display what scenario it is. If I lock onto a unit, it will say "Unit locked" at the top of the screen as usual but then it will be repeated 2 or 3 times simultaneously above or below the original "Unit locked," or it may just say unit locked in all of the previously mentioned boxes. Also, if I want to exit the game, both option boxes will say "no" although where "yes" should be you can see the "s" in "yes" peaking out from behind "no" Besides these text abnormalities everything works great, but it makes the game nearly impossible to play because you never know how many men are alive in a squad, their morale, status, what turn it is, etc. Here is my system: Combat mission ver 1.12 (same problem all versions of CM) AMD athlon 1000 Via KT133a mobo (latest 4in1 driver and bios installed) Hercules 3d prophet 64MB (latest driver, but same problem with any version driver) Win 98 (updated through Windows update page) 512 MB ram Soundblaster Live! (has nothing to do with problem) 30gig HD 7200rpm 25Mb free DirectX 8.0 Any help would be sooooo gladly appreciated! [ 07-04-2001: Message edited by: Oasis ] [ 07-04-2001: Message edited by: Oasis ]
