  1. Ok, this is my problem. My previous computer was a Packard Bell, 64 Mb, 333 mHz Cyrix. One day I installed an update patch for the Sudden Strike game. When I rebooted I noticed that my CDROM drive letter was no longer visible in Explorer (let alone any other program). My CDROM drive was effectively done, and it wouldn’t reinstall. When I formatted my drive and reinstalled windows the CDROM worked through the whole install but dissapeared again when I did the final reboot in the installation. How can I get my CDROM back? Also keep in mind I added a new CDROM after the other was not showing (I destroyed it trying to take the CD out), so it does it with new CDROM’s too. Now I want to connect my old and new computer for head to head play, but one is broke.

  2. I feel CMBO is not running like it should considering the equipment I have.

    Pentium IV

    1.7 Mhz Processor

    256 RAM

Windows 98 (2nd Edition, Win XP annoyed me so I installed 98)

Nvidia GeForce2 400 MX 64 MB (blah, blah, blah)

I recently installed the latest Nvidia driver (their terminator, or whatever it is called driver)

What I am experiencing is the occasional stutter. I will be gliding across a map when it jumps or gets choppy for a second then continues. This happens at any height on the map and also affects the sounds. It kid of skips. Any sollutions?

  3. Where did they get the info relating to an MG42 crew being 6??? The typical crew for a light MG would be 3. The three crew were referred to as Shutz 1, Shutz 2, and Shutz 3. As for ammo, typically most of the squad would help with the burdon of ammo, but they were not counted as part of the crew. I am unsure whether the number would increase if it were a heavy MG, but even then the mount and sights would be the only additional equipment. That could easily be carried by one of the three.

  4. Actually the vehicle you are talking about is the Panzerwerfer42. It was an Opal Blitz mounted on a Maultier chassis. It had a completely closed on rear with a rear door and upper deck for loading the 10 tubes. It was not an SdKfz. 251/1. It did have a similar slanting armor features of the 251/1 though. I heard they were great at playing hell. Great mobility, fast fire and go. Basically they were a nebelwerfer on an armored truck. If not pic is below try the link:
