  1. I just re installed, and I have the same problem as the gentleman set forth above. I bought the Paradox CD version and it is asking for an elicense. Thanks
  2. Hey all, I tried to patch the game to 1.08, (I'm running the Paradox disk version.) installed the wrong one, had to do a complete uninstall, then I could not reinstall. I have gone around and deleted all of the folders associated with the game, but the disk still will not let me install. When I try "Play" it says "elicenyo.dc file cannot be found. How to fix?
  3. I've added a lot of progams and cannot backtrack. The problem happened afet I upgraded from P 700 Mhz, to Celleron 900 Mhz.
  4. I've posted this before; twice before actually. I post it something like every three months in the hopes of solving the problem. My mouse freezes out and will not let me select a scenario from the selection screen. I'm using a MS optical mouse with USB. But I've tried a plain vanilla one in the regular mouse port. I have downloaded the latest Voodoo 3 drivers and direct x. I have tried running it patched and unpatched. This is vexing also because I ran the game without trouble for a few weeks, and had this happen when I upgraded my computer. I really loved the game, hence all the trouble to get it running again. Many thanks in advance.
  5. I DID run the game without incident for about two months and believe that this might be caused by a conflict with some other piece of software but have been unable to trace back to the offending bit. I've changed drivers several times, sound drivers, versions of Direct X, ect. and have had no luck. I have used the regular Microsoft mnouse in the little PS 2 port with the optical mouse unplugged with no success. I'm going away on vacation so please do not interpret this as my losing interest with your support. Thanks.
  6. Well I guess we hijacked this thread from xpublius. Has any of the suggestions here helped you yet Xpub or are you still having problems with your mouse ? I am loath to ever want to restrict traffic on a forum; asctually I was sort of enjoying the digression. I still am all locked up with nowhere to go. Thanks for asking.
  7. Thanks for responding. I'm using the Microsoft optical mouse driven by the USB socket on the keyboard and have switched around all the usual options settings on the control panel. Please recall that the issue continued with a vanilla mouse run through the PS2 port. The mouse works fine in EVERY other application and I am a geek-gamer so they are many. I'm using Direct X 8.0 (I think this is the latest one, it's the latest version, whatever it is.) I've changed the drivers on the soundcard, I've intalled it and uninstalled it about TWENTY-FIVE    times, patched and unpatched. I appeal to the ether in the hopes that some wizened guru can end my quest. (I would never go through this sort of hair pulling but for the fact that this game is so outstanding. All the more frustrating because I got about a third of the way through the scenarios before this happened.)
  8. By the way, I also tried a regular MS mouse at the smaller socket port in the back (That's PS2, I think.) Same thing; the mouse cursor is frozen fro the select scenario and very rouphly hops from the "Select" and the "Exit" functions.
  9. I have an optical mouse with USB and it freezes out at the scenario selection screen. This is odd because I ran the game in this configuration for a while. I went through the standard mouse fixes and have checked to make sure all drivers are up to date. This happens with patched and unpatched versions. (I've posted on this very matter about two months ago and had no success, so I was hoping some new perspective on this problem might have been gained by players.)null
  10. To add a little more info: I have an optical, USB mouse. I just d-loaded its latest driver from Microsoft; no good. I unloaded and re-loaded the game; no good. THe mouse is sticky on the main screen, and is confined to the bottom on the scenario selection screen. Often it becomes "sticky;" leaping about, not moving smoothly, oftn not moving at all, often freezing out entirely. The arrow keyboard keys don't effect this screen ever, as far as Iknow. I've tried the number pad, as well as the four regular arrow keys.(I'm not running the "Logitec" option on the mouse control panel. Thanks
  11. Thanks for the reply. THe mouse will become "sticky," by this I mean that it moves sluggishly and leaps from one spot to the next. I'm using a P-300, win '98. I can't tell you what specific mouse driver I'm using. Ofttimes the whole game will freeze up along with the mouse, keyboard and all. The strange thing is that I've been playing this game with no trouble since march. Thanks.
  12. My mouse will often freeze out, often I cannot select many options. Battlefront needs to make the mouse cursor easier to see during game play, in my opinion.
