I don't think any MBT can match the Abrahams can it?
I'm no expert but i thought the Abrahams was the tank of all tanks?
Am i wrong?
They where firing those depleted Uranium rounds in the Gulf War and there were confirmed kills through 20ft!!!! of sand.
Abrahams knocking out T-72's? (Correct me there) through 20Ft!!! of sand. Thats one mean machine.

I hope this thread continues on this path.
I've never played attack vs defence against a Human opponent so i can't really comment.
I'd love to hear what everyone lese has to say.

Yeah i agree Bucket.
I suppose you could call it nit-picking on an already great game and we could follow the crowd and suggest it should be in CM2.
Either way Awards/Medals/promtions etc would be nice but it's not the first thing i look for in a game

I finally recieved the full version of CMBO today after being stuck with the demo for 2 weeks. :mad:
Anyway i thought i saw somewhere a list of medals/awards that where in CMBO and was just wondering if.
1. There are any?
2. How/when they are awarded?
3. How you find about it?
I looked through the manual but couldn't find anything in the index on awards/medals/promotions etc etc.

Even a basic campaign strategic layer such as that in CC4 and 5 would be enough for CM2 then we can all nit pick about it and get a new one for CM3

This is just one observation I've made so don't take it as gospel (would you anyway?
)If you re-hide your units every turn they seem to stay down alot better. Also the presence of HQ units helps aswell

I don't think that section of the AI needs any tweaking at all.
If the game where based around you being a Company Comander and you only gave orders to your Platoon leaders.
In which case they deploy their teams as they wish then there would need to be improvments to the AI.
I say "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

their are plenty of other good ones but to keep it simple this site probarly has the most of everything.

But as the man said we already have micro-management. The game doesn't simulate "You" as a battalion comander it simulates you having Total control on Every unit.
Why not have more options to give every unit?
I'm all for all of these improvments.

Although not really on the subject of Terrain viewing.
I altered Wolfs original hi-contrast grass and put in alot more green. I find it great for terrain viewing plus being easy on the eye.
It's obviously no where near as good for terrain viewing as the war room grass al the same i like it.

Just a quick question.
Does CM get delivered by the normal postman in the normal mail or is it by courier etc?

I'd love to hear something from BTS on this. I love large battles.
A 10Km square map would be brilliant. The force size isn't as important to me but purely the room to manouver.
Currently you might only have a defensive line 2-4 hundred meters deep that is any good for a defense.
With a big map you could move that 2-4 Km deep and set up where YOU like to set up your defense. Not just in the ONLY place you have available like it currently stands.

A 2-1 ration would be good. Instead of just 1-2-3 like we have now.
BTS can make them low res then all the mod artists can make them hi res

No i haven't but i play against a bloke (Guderian) who uses them regulary. Last night one Gerbisjager(Mountain troops) whiped out a complete U.S platoon with only 1 casualty. Not bad for a 5? man squad.
