  1. From the Microsoft support site:

If you want to be prompted for a download location for the file type, follow these steps:

    Double-click My Computer.

On the View menu, click Folder Options.

On the File Types tab, click the appropriate file type in the Registered File Types box.

    Click Edit.

Click to select the Confirm Open After Download check box.

Click OK, and then click OK.

    MORE INFORMATION

When you first click a link to download a file, the File Download dialog box appears. You have the following options:

Open this file from its current location

    Save this file to disk

Always ask before opening this type of file

If you clear the Always ask before opening this type of file check box, you indicate that this type of file should always be opened with the associated program. The file is then downloaded to your Temporary Internet Files folder and opened.

If the Always ask before opening this type of file check box is unavailable, there is no program associated with the file type. For example, if you download a file with a .zip extension, the check box is unavailable unless you have installed a program that can open .zip files.

If I put back the original intro music wav file, it plays just fine. The other wav files play just fine too, outside the game. Any ideas?

The opening theme has to be in stereo format. If it's in mono, it will sound speeded up. Windows sound recorder can convert them to the proper format.
  3. Both games never crash for me and It's hard to believe that BMPs could be the cause of your crashing. I can see graphical glitches but not crashing. The game would just ignore bmps like 420a and 440a since they are not used, so that shouldn't be the problem.

I noticed both crashes occured during pbems. Maybe try playing against the ai with Juju's flag mod and see what happens.

Sorry for not responding earlier. I assume you mean my trees and not treebases. They will work in CMBO, but it will take some work. The bmp numbers are different for many of them, and since there are more trees in CMBB, several would have to be left out. I'm not sure how they will look in CMBO since thet were designed to fit in with the default CMBB terrain. If you are still interested, let me know and I'll walk you through converting them.
  5. I also posted this in the CMBB forum, but since it's compatible with CMBO I thought I would post it here too.

Available at The CM Mod Database

Both summer and fall textures and a lower res version for slower computers.

I forgot to mention this in the readme, but there are two extra textures that are not needed for the CMBO version. 2110.bmp and 2111.bmp are only for CMBB. They won't overwrite anything if you copy them into your CMBO bmp directory, so it shouldn't be a problem.

where can i get those trees you are using Mr. Murpes?

That is Ed "Tanks A Lot" Kinney's excellent tree mod. I really like it for two reasons: It looks great, and the trees are "higher" than the default ones. You can play will full trees on and still see your units.

You can find it at the CM Mod DB looking under Tanks A Lot as the designer.</font>
