My opponent is big on the TD's but he likes the Hetzers and Pz IV/70's. I used to like the Jacksons, but this time I bought 2 Hellcats, and damn those things are fast. Like Pak/40 soid, keep 'em moving, they are hard for turretless TD's to target, and the same for Tigers also. If you can get behind a hill, they are so fast if you move them out of sight and pop them up in different places you can get your opponent to think you have 3 or 4 instead of 2 if you do it right.

Exactly, Matt. Breaking out the halftracks/MMG is something to do AFTER all the armor is dead, including the 20 mm flak guns. Also beware of grenades and fausts at closer range. But that .50 cal MG sure is good at making 'em hit the deck while you march up the infantry! Just keep them hidden until they are safe.

Hit Alt-A. Just kidding. Actually it sounds like you did ok, getting a major. Taking the vets is a wise move, as they are less likely to break and run when you tell them to cross open fields under fire. I'm more in favor of using the sharpshooters in a defensive position, I don't know what the extra points would have got you. It sucks when they have guns with a wide scope of fire, at least you bought some arty, imagine if you didn't have any at all? Did artillery spotters carry sidearms? I would never think to go on the offense with them, but I was playing a QB last night, and I ran 2 sets of 81 mm spotters upstairs into a church where an SS rifle squad was hiding. Fortunately my spotters didn't get seen by the SS squad, which was quicky supressed by several other units, but if the SS did see my spotters first wouldn't my spotters at least have sidearms to shoot back? ------------------ Don't shoot...let 'em burn! - from opening scene, SPR
