1. Last time I checked macs used IDE, the newer G5's use SATA I believe. I have IDE, SCSI and SATA in my PC. Macs can have all three too.
2. AMD Athlon XP 3200+ (Barton 400mhz bus), 1024 MB of PC3200 EL/DC RAM I ran three tests and got an average of about 46 Seconds.
3. I was playing a Quick battle on a premade map last night, the map faces North-South, as it's supposed to be played in Italy. In the parameters while creating the map, I made sure the freindly edges were N-S, however when importing the map into a Quick Battle, It resets the edges to east-west, even in Italy which I'm fairly sure goes North-South. Please Fix.
4. I used Photoshop 7, although Graphics Converter should be able to do it.
5. I had this problem as well, I resized the bmps from 1024x256 (4:1) to 256x256 (1:1) and it looked better, just as good as the low res skies from cmbo, since cmbb has no low res skies, were stuck with the high res ones. I dont't know if it's the Nvidia drivers or Cm itself thats causing the problems.
6. CMBO does have similar problems if it uses the high res sky, the thing is CMBO chooses to use the low res skies to begin with, its possible to just overwrite the low res bmps with the high res ones, then youll get a similar looking sky as the one above. Apparently CMBB has no low res skies (from what i've seen in the bmp folder) , so it uses the high res ones which it can't display right for some reason. CMBO couldnt display the high res skies right either, but had no problem with the low res ones. Im using the the Nvidia 3.0 drivers btw if that helps. I think I'm gonna have to get a ATI Radeon 9700, Im tired of all these Nvidia problems.
7. Hey BTS, I'm running on a G4 867mhz with a Nvidia Gf3, plenty of ram etc... When in the game all the graphics showed up just fine, except for the sky, which was horribly blurred, CMBO had a similar problem if I tried to force the high res ones to show. CMBO automatically used the low res skys which I can live with, but CMBB doesnt have any as far as I can tell, therfore I get this, and its very ugly and hard to live with : edit: can't spell right  [ September 03, 2002, 12:23 AM: Message edited by: Daman324 ]
8. You're way behind on updating there, Mac Nvidia drivers are at v2.6 and they work great. I get no graphics problems. Also, I only have 6 Nvidia files, strange that you have 9. Get the new drivers here : Nvidia v2.6 Drivers
9. I have gotten very tired of staring at low-res skies in CMBO. My computer and video card can easily handle them (g4 867mhz, Geforce 3) yet CM chooses to use the low-res ones. I can stand this problem for now in CMBO, but I'm hoping it's fixed in CMBB. Heres an example pic (350k) Screenshot I know that in CMBB it will automatically scale textures to fit in your VRAM. Will this be overridable? I can't stand low-res and I wanna make sure in CMBB I always have high-res skies, and everything else for that matter. Could this be implemented?
10. I don't think the resource file size is the problem. Mine are much larger, filled to the brim, I don't think I can fit any more mods. I never had problems with graphics on my G4 867,512 ram, Geforce 3, except for the crappy v2.4 Nvidia drivers that came with 9.2.2. You could try reverting to the v2.3 drivers and see if that helps.
11. Type 1,2 and 3 are memory related errors, you could try giving CM more memory and see if that fixes it.
12. Yes i am to, with my geforce 3, I agree its an improvement but I still would like to have hi-res skies.
13. While the 9.2.2 update fixed the no sky problem on my geforce 3, it appears to be only displaying the low res skies. Is there any way to force it to display high res skies? Also are you other Mac Geforce users suffering the same thing?
14.
quote:
Originally posted by Ericfoos: The fixit sites are saying that zapping the PRAM will get you your resolutions back.

This didnt work for me, others have tried it and only fixed the problem for a single restart
