  1. Hi, just got a Kindle Fire HD (5th gen) but can't find CM Touch on Amazon. Can I still get CM Touch for the Kindle?
  2. Corporal Captain, wasn't that Radar's temporary rank when he and Hawkeye picked up BJ on M*A*S*H?
  3. The reason they have separate power supplies for Dell's is because Dell uses a non-standard power connection. Using a non-Dell power supply with a Dell mobo, or vice versa, will fry at least one of the components. Here is a web site that will explain what Dell has done. http://www.upgradingandrepairingpcs.com/articles/upgrade3_01_01.asp
  4. Here is a link to a set of instructions for a direct cable connection. http://www.lpt.com/Support/DCC-SetUp/dcc-setup.htm
  5. Here is a link to a site explaining how to set up a direct cable network for any Windows OS. http://www.lpt.com/Support/DCC-SetUp/dcc-setup.htm I've set up networks from Windows XP home to Windows 95, to Windows ME and Windows 2000. You will have to buy a Direct Connect Cable. I got one at Best Buy. It connects from printer port to printer port on both computers.
  6. Go to this link and you should get all the info you need to set up a Windows Direct Cable Connection - Parallel Technologies Direct Cable Connection I used the instructions and set up a Win95 to WinXP connection to play CMBO and Silent Hunter II/Destroyer Command. I also set up a WinXP to Win2000 connection, I'll be trying CMBB this weekend as well as SHII/DC on this connection this weekend. The transfer speed is 4Mbs.
  7. I have a Dell 4500 2.0 GHZ with 512 Ram and a PNY Ti4200 64MB VC. CMBO and CMBB both run without any problems. I usually play 3000 pt QBs both against the AI and TCPIP and I have no complaints. [ December 13, 2002, 08:49 AM: Message edited by: AbramsOnPoint ]
  8. I bought a Dell 4500 P4 2.0 w/ 256MB and a 32 meg Rage ATI card. I upgraded it to 512MB and a nVidia 64 meg Ti 4200 card. This runs CMBB without any problems and I haven't had the Dell time bug as yet. I did get the bug on the Dell 4100 1.0 w/384MB and nVidia 32 meg card. It only appeared during TCP/IP games and went away if I hit pause and play on the movie controls.
  9. If you're loading a map with a lot of damage, it could take some time. Try a QB with damage set to high, see how long it takes, then try a similar size QB with damage set to none.
  10. Watch the map damage option when you set up a QB. A map with a lot of damage will really tax a system.
  11. It comes in a USPS Priority Mail envelope, the manual is 261 pages. There is a page 262 but it only has a water color image of a German soldier and there is a blank page afer that. The CD is in a white CD envelope just inside the front cover. The manual is shrink wrapped just like CMBO. The manual is just slighty larger than CMBO, very slightly larger, but thicker. The even numbered pages have the German soldier water color and the odd pages have a Soviet soldier. Everything was delivered to my mailbox, no special delivery. I have a Dell PIII 1000M with 384 meg of Ram and a nVidia 32 meg video card. The game plays smooth. Sorry, go to go and play a March 1945 QB with Tigers and JPZ70's against a Soviet force using T34/85 and SU85 plus some air support.
  12. CMBB arrived around noon on Cape Cod. Installed without a hitch. I've got leftover pizza, Mike's Lemonade and my computer is set up so I can watch college football while I play. My wife's in Boston until tonight so if you respond to this, I won't see it cause I'll be playing a QB (already set up and ready to start).
  13. CMBB came around noon on Cape Cod and I have all day to play it, my wife went to Boston today.
  14. The German air controllers at Frankfurt Airport are a short-tempered lot. They not only expect one to know one's gate parking location but how to get there without any assistance from them. So it was with some amusement that we listened to the following exchange between Frankfurt ground control and a Pan American 747 (call sign "Speedbird 206") after landing: Speedbird 206: "Good morning Frankfurt, Speedbird 206 clear of the active runway." Ground: "Guten morgen! You vill taxi to your gate!" The big 747 pulled onto the main taxi way and slowed to a stop. Ground: "Speedbird, do you not know vare you are going?" Speedbird 206: "Stand by a moment ground, I'm looking up our gate location now." Ground (with some arrogant impatience): "Speedbird 206, haff you never flown to Frankfurt before?!?" Speedbird 206 (coolly): "Yes I have, in 1944. In another type of Boeing. But I didn't stop then." ------------------ "Gentleman!, there will be no fighting in here, this is the War Room!".
