RoW II: The Boots & Tracks Brawl (Part IV)
Treeburst155 replied to Treeburst155's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Two Weeks to Go!! Vader's Jester, You and Mikeydz are close enough I won't worry about it until the 24th (the deadline). If the game is still not finished on that date, I will take over. Bertram, Your problem sounds more serious. I will write to Ugbash. I will take over this game if I don't hear from Ugbash in a day or two at most. Big X, I will write to EASY-V. I suspect technical difficulties at this point (optimist). If I don't hear from him in a couple days, I will take over for him. ____________________________________ Thanks for the updates, guys! Fight On!! Treeburst155 out. -
After having spent an entire afternoon agonizing over the root causes of the problems endured by civilized man, I have come to the conclusion that the only real problem is civilization itself. The one ray of hope for the civilized world is for it to get Penged about the head and shoulders until it is forced to wallow in the fetid Cesspool. Only in the CessPool is there sufficient treachery, evil, and hatred to save civilized man. So,go forth into all the world, you Knights and Squires of Peng! Take all the hatred and evil you can carry, for it will be a long crusade. Subdue the civilized world. Drag it back in chains for The Great Pengquisition. For the good of the world we must stretch civilization upon the rack, that it might smell the hope that lies in The Pool. Oh, and worry not about your womenfolk while you are away. I will remain here to care for them. Can't Pre-order, "cookies" problem
Treeburst155 replied to Treeburst155's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Thanks, Captain Wacky! I'm good to go. After I ordered, a gold colored page popped up and said I was chosen at random to be the first one to have the game shipped. Isn't that special. Treeburst155 out. -
I have cookies enabled and can't pre-order CMBB. I keep getting an IE message saying to enable cookies. As near as I can tell I'm fully enabled. Anybody else run into this? Treeburst155 out.

Kanonier/Holien, File received directly from Kanonier! I will continue to send return files through Holien. Treeburst155 out. -
I just wanna say it's been a day from hell for me. First, I had to work my butt off for FIVE WHOLE HOURS! Then, I came home only to discover that Joey's email is working. It was just sooooo nice when he was isolated, cutoff, frustrated, angry, etc.. NOW, he's probably HAPPY, and that really pisses me off. Oh well, there's still hope I can have a good day. Maybe he can send, but not receive. That would brighten my day. Treeburst155, Squire to Senior Knight Moriarty, Defender of Lost Causes

Len is right. Hit alt+shift+semicolon ONE time, and never touch that combo again, and the ESCAPE key works permanently. If you hit the key combo again it reverts to the original state. My mistake. Thanks, Len. Treeburst155 out.

Kanonier, I read the error message carefully. It has something to do wit "SpamCop". In other words, your ISP considers email from me spam. There's a lot of that going around these days. Treeburst155 out. -
You have to hit alt+shift+semicolon everytime you start the game if you want the escape key to work as in CMBO. Alt+Tab gives you a delayed reaction drop to the desktop (about 10 seconds on my machine). Treeburst155 out.

Hi Kanonier, The reason I think your email is FUBAR is because it keeps bouncing back to me with a "fatal error" message. I guess my email could be FUBAR when it comes to your email. There are several pairs of people in the tourney who have trouble doing PBEM. Perhaps you and I are one of those. Treeburst155 out. -

Joe, I am positively certain the address posted above is exactly where I sent my human wave to. Squire Treeburst155 out. -
Regarding identifying command vehicles and platoon leaders: IF it is like CMBO, The tac AI will target leaders whether you know what they are or not. It will also pounce on the highest quality troops first. I haven't played with it enough yet to know if this is the case with CMBB. That's very interesting about the victory point changes with just arty firing. I hadn't noticed that. Treeburst155 out.

You're right, I forgot. "Ladies Rule!!". I also forgot you are responsible for all Berlichtingen's victories. Obviously this means Ladies of the Pool do play CM, at least on occasion. Treeburst155, Squire to Senior Knight Moriarty, Defender of Lost Causes -

I don't suppose you're getting anything from me, eh Joe? If not, try checking your mail instead of griping about it. Sheesh..... Squire Treeburst155out. -

Barbella, It's education time for you. Ladies Of The Pool do not play CM. Since you claim not to be a man, and you don't play CM, you HAVE to be a Lady Of The Pool. If you choose to discard this very real position of honor, you mock the one and only virtue of The Mutha Beautiful Thread. That is, the way we treat women. I think this would be a crime worthy of Coventry. You're lucky I'm not running this vile domain. Treeburst155, Squire to Senior Knight Moriarty, Defender of Lost Causes. -

Joe, your email is definitely messed up, and that pleases me immensely. I guess you didn't get that letter from Roxy either, eh? How I plan to crush Joe's Germans in "Yelnia Square" if he is ever able to receive files: The great Russian Intifada will begin with enfilading fire on his defilade positions. Once he's been sufficiently fileted, his defilade should deflate demonstrably. Once I've deduced this deflated defilade, I will direct my derelicts to infiltrate his defilade before he can deliver fileting enfilading fire himself. To allow this would give Joe an inflated ego even though fileting troops, not in defilade, with enfilading fire is elementary. Having attained his former defilade positions, I will then deliver devastating doses of direct fire designed to demolish dozens of Deutsch dogs before they can attain their next defilade position. Repeat as needed and you have a dead and dismembered delinquent destined for dishonorable decomposition. Treeburst155, Squire to Senior Knight Moriarty, Defender of Lost Causes. Please don't suggest to Roxy that she go dormant. I could NOT handle another one of her violent eruptions. It's best if she just releases the pressure steadily. Treeburst155, Squire to Senior Knight Moriarty, Defender of Lost Causes. -

Hi Booberry, Roxy: I'm not only the dominant one, I'm The Dominatrix. Ask Treeburst. He'll tell you as soon as I take the gag off. Come see me some time, Boo-boo. I'll show you how to whip some behinds. Then we can play CMBB. Roxanne, The Dominatrix of Castle Moriarty
