Vergeltungswaffe reacted to banned in Ryzen CPU - Intel latest Gen latest tech vs cm2
I am relaxed, don´t be such a sensitive snowflake. I am pretty sure Bulletpoint didn´t get seriously hurt in the process of reading my post and this has nothing to do with agressiveness, agreeing, or disagreeing but with simply pointing out untrue facts. His posts suggest that Combat Mission runs like garbage on every computer and then proceeds with false explanations about engine technicalities which I then happily call bs, simple as that.

I retired from the Kern County Sheriff Office after twenty years service. Prior to that I worked as a Police Officer in the San Fernando Valley...California... Kern County County seat is Bakersfield CA. where I retired from.

Vergeltungswaffe reacted to MOS:96B2P in New Scenario: Tactical Operations Center
Tactical Operations Center has been posted at The Scenario Depot III. The link is below. Thank you to all the Beta testers, @Sgt.Squarehead, @Erwin, @rocketman, @sburke, @General Jack Ripper and @Combatintman. Thanks to everyone else for patiently waiting.
http://www.thefewgoodmen.com/tsd3/cm-black-sea/cm-black-sea-add-ons/tactical-operations-center/
I had some computer problems so in the end mod tags were not used. However links to the mods are listed with the scenario. Instead of a PDF document two Word documents are included with the scenario. The Word documents help explain the intelligence code and the map grid lines. They are not needed to play the scenario since the same information is in the briefing. However the Word documents may be downloaded and printed out for players who wish to do so. Some of the beta testers thought it was helpful having a printed intel. code on hand while playing.
If you have questions ask here or send me a PM. Hope you enjoy it. Post cool screenshots!

Vergeltungswaffe got a reaction from A Canadian Cat in New Scenario: Tactical Operations Center
Exactly this.
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to, as will this scenario, the fruit of a wizard's masterful labors.

Vergeltungswaffe reacted to sburke in New Scenario: Tactical Operations Center
Dude the last thing you need to be doing is apologizing for releasing a scenario that has taken an enormous amount of work. Yeah everyone is itchy to get their fingers on it, but don't take that as criticism, just the impatience of Christmas eve.

Vergeltungswaffe reacted to benpark in Quick battle maps
This module will indeed fill the maps (and QB maps) out. I’ll say what I can.
Have a look at Aachen (all maps), Stavelot, Noville, Nijmegen, Elst, Ortona, and about half a dozen other CM big maps through other CM titles to see what I bring. MarkEzra is the master of the QB AI plan, and with the other guys kicking stuff in....there will be maps.
Steve also released 2 screenshots that show partials of two of the maps for the module. So, the maps are indeed going to be rounded out.
When the time comes on this module to get the gogogo, and I have the OK, we can give you guys the final list, from which QB maps are made (plus there are generally others that are from scratch QB maps of a smaller size than the masssive ones). And the big maps will of course be included for people to chop up themselves for their own scenarios.

Vergeltungswaffe reacted to Andreas3 in CMBS – Issues, Realism and Gaming Deficiencies
The OPs post screams "learn to play" so loud that my ears are bleeding. Whatever meaningful points and observations he acutally manages to raise are drowned out by his ramblings consisting of opinions disgused as fact, influenced by a complete failure (or will) to understand even basic premises behind the design philosophy of the CM2-series, nor the subject matter covered by CM:BS. Waste of space.

Never been a problem for me, and I'm a 400 year old technophobe.

Really nice read.
Almost as detailed as a George MC scenario/campaign.

I for one thank Battlefront. I mean still great games and apart from maybe Graviteam Tactics (though not wego) where are asll these other better tactical games out there that make CMx2 redundant?

Vergeltungswaffe reacted to Erwin in Disappointed
It would not be a bad idea to simply close this "Disappointed" Forum as it's negative for morale and is not relevant any more.

Thanks ta This is the sort of stuff that allows scenarios to be detailed. My buddy - Charlie Meconis - is ace at this sort of thing.

And my Amiga 2000 was the only PC capable of video editing. Neither is relevant to the fact that many Apple fans think being an Apple fanatic makes them superior in some way.

Vergeltungswaffe got a reaction from Aragorn2002 in Afrika Korps or Early War?
North Africa with a bullet.
I loved CMAK. So many sexy tanks hosing off rounds at looooong range and missing...a lot.
40-42 in the desert had far more interesting vehicles than early war imho.

Vergeltungswaffe reacted to Aragorn2002 in Afrika Korps or Early War?
Definitely North Africa/Tunesia. Why? Because I love the desert and the partly balanced tactical battles. Plus sandy colored vehicles are sexy.
