Given Warhammer has long been another hobby/interest of mine, I had to Google. The internet did not disappoint.

I think regardless of what speed you plot, the tile is the cause of bogging.

There is no evidence that plotted speeds influences bogging. My default setting is fast or hunt if it has riders. In a muddy affair FB, I immobilize one Sherman on average. Your case seem to point towards the map design.

This pack includes new textures for the default version of the SU-76 and the various mod tags, ie [snow], [whitewash snow], [germany] and [berlin]. Each set comes with a fair amount of variant textures to avoid clone army syndrome.

Redwolf reacted to Jane's in AMD 22.8 series breaks game again
Whether you like it or not, it's not only up to BF to resolve that problem. Clearly it's not high on priorities list in AMD and my guess is it never will. It's common knowledge that AMDs GUI have issues with lots of games and if you're a gamer, you should simply avoid these cards. I made a mistake of buying one over 2 years ago and almost immediately i had issues with some games, not only CM. I got fed up with it, sold it and recently bought RTX. So far, no problems with CM and everything else.

Redwolf reacted to herr_oberst in Apple Mac Mini m2 entry level... anyone using it with CMBN?
    Initial review:
Time Machine backup the old iMac, boot the new Studio, use Time Machine to move everything to the new machine, short fiddling with the MX Master 2S mouse, then launch Red Thunder.
Swapped the resolution to Desktop (2560x1440), up the models to best, textures to best, exit, restart, and like the comment on the Mini above, just a few minutes toying around, but very nice. No reactivation, nothing.

A lot has been said in this topic.
My issue and the bottom line of my argument is:
I know its a game, therefore there is uncertainty involved which is represented in the form of dice rolls BUT under certain conditions a unit should become spotted regardless of chance. It is completely unrealistic that:
    - in broad daylight;
    - within reasoable distance (900 m is nothing if the crew is using sights with magnification or the TC is using his bino)
    - a not very well hidden/camouflaged tank
    - that is shooting its main gun for several turns
    - while also letting it rip with its 50 cal mg using TRACER (!!) rounds

can remain unspotted while 3 enemy TDs are closely monitoring the battlefield. And no I dont care if there are certain objects that partially obstruct my TDs view and they dont have a perfectly clear line of sight to the target. That tank should at least become detected to that extent that my tds at least have a rough idea as to where to put their AP rounds regardless of not gettin a full view of the enemy.

Redwolf got a reaction from Panzerpanic in Downfall: Enjoying the module?
I am also a bit underwhelmed.
I use CM to experiment with the engine, explore game mechanics and use it as a TO&E reference. As such scenario packs are useless to me.
The new expansion is very close to a scenario pack with how little units it adds.

If they go down around a weekend they will not be brought online before Monday morning UK time. I don't think that is an acceptable service level for a game server.

Redwolf reacted to Bulletpoint in StG44 vs SMG Performance at Long Range in CMRT: A Shocking Revelation
I think SMGs are too effective at long range, but should be even more powerful at short range.
It's not only about accuracy and bullet spread, but also about how you'd use an SMG at short ranges, and how it's not really modelled in the game.
If you see an enemy soldier run across a road, you'd be able to start firing and then walk the fire on target while you hold down the trigger.
And if you see an enemy run into vegetation, you could hose down several bushes with a long sweeping burst.
But in the game, if the target is a running soldier, the SMG guy will adjust his aim but keep firing just behind the target.
And in the case of vegetation, he will choose only one spot and then unload a long burst into the ground at that point. Then choose a new point and do another long burst, etc.

Redwolf reacted to Vacillator in PBEM issue since PBEM++ was introduced
So in case anyone else sees it, this is for PC-based PBEM players who have not signed up on Matrix/Slitherine for PBEM++.
Getting to the end of a game, and the opponent presses ceasefire or surrender.  Instead of getting the end screen with points tally and map review, you get red error boxes saying you haven't registered an account.  I've had it in CMBN and CMRT in recent games.  One was against my good friend @Ultradave who has logged it as a possible bug bleeding through from PBEM++ into the 'normal' world.
If you do get the red error boxes just click through and do another turn (with or without orders).  And maybe another turn...  Eventually you'll get the end screen.

Redwolf got a reaction from Albert DuBalay in Been 10yrs, need a quick recap
Well, it seems that Apple's deprecated OpenGL is a billion times better than AMD's ongoing one
I wouldn't be too concerned about this.

Redwolf got a reaction from Bufo in For you AMD graphics users: another OpenGL translation layer that might fix the AMD issues with OpenGL
I recently reported on games plugging in the Mesa driver that translates OpenGL to Vulkan, "for situations where the drivers don't have good OpenGL support". Sounds familiar to you AMD users?

There now is a second alternative, by Microsoft themselves - an OpenGL to Direct3D translation layer. So you only rely on AMD to get Direct3D (DirectX12) right and you don't use any of their broken OpenGL nonsense.
    https://www.phoronix.com/news/Microsoft-OpenGL-4.6-D3D12
Getting this plugged in without Charles will be an effort, but far from impossible. Of course if BFC were to pick this up it would be a big win.
