  2. nice. I'm also interested in which face mod is used in this pic. Most realistic I've seen so far.. (I would have done Anna's name in white chalk.. sorry!) ------------------ How much did you put in?!
  3. My Condolences. Just be glad for the time you had with him. My grandparents died when I was very young, so I will never hear my grandpa's tales of life as a rear gunner in a Lancaster Bomber. It's up to the likes of us to keep those stories and the remembrance alive..
  4. Yes I want it Sir, I want it. Ooh. Eakster69@hotmail.com
  5. Well, I dunno about you lot, but after first getting into this game, I wanted to see lots of pics about the real thing and read real stories - I went and bought books about it! So.. lots of WW2 shots of tanks from the real campaign, maybe next to similar in-game shots. Definitely a pic of the day where anything goes, Oh and penetration. Lots of penetration, hot lead shooting..exploding..oh! well I had to join in! ------------------ This post has been censored. Er, Mr. Bush.
  6. Someone pass the popcorn.. cheers. I am reminded of that scene in Good Morning Vietnam.. er how did it go? ------------------ "..more in need of a blowjob than any white man in history"

  8. I've seen one of those in action! It was in a big tent and a bloke was fired out of the end. ------------------ "People that are really very weird can get into sensitive positions and have a tremendous impact on history." ....Governor George W. Bush, Jr.
  9. Yes, the fun would come from setting up and changing patrol routes, then reacting in time to your guards 'disappearing'. Doggy units would be fun to use. The designer's problem would be preventing the defender from placing all their guard units around the objective. - the objective would have to cover a large area, or have multiple targets, eg rescuing POWs in different buildings, or blowing several electric generators, disabling vehicles, etc The Special Forces guys would have higher stealth and spotting stats, guard dogs would have a large sniff radius. This could be a weak Commando's rip off or a nice alternative to blasting the fek out of each other.. ------------------ "People that are really very weird can get into sensitive positions and have a tremendous impact on history." ....Governor George W. 12. I thought Hollywood was full of Nazis anyway. Talking of movies, wouldn't it be great to be able to view an entire CM game with each move back to back - a continuous 45 min movies file..? Is this technically possible does anyone know? At least the option to save certain turns to view again later would be nice. ------------------ "I like a man who grins when he fights." - Prime Minister Winston Churchill
  13. Love the behind-the-line concept. It would be great to have some Resistance action too, perhaps including some abilities seen in the game Commandos - such as sneaking up behind guards, laying traps and hiding etc. I love pipe dreams
  14. There is no difference whatsoever between your voting 'choices', my US pals.. So now can we get back on with the killing talk? ------------------ "I like a man who grins when he fights." - Prime Minister Winston Churchill
  15. Anyone seen this? In a recent PBEM a firefight was taking place in some woods. My opponent had infantry, including a mortar team on the edge of the woods. My infantry were in the centre. My opponent then withdrew all his men out of the woods and down a slope, preceeding his artillery strike. Now, I definitely saw his mortarman legging it AT THE SAME SPEED as the running infantry, although his animation was a walking anim. All his men thus escaped unharmed. Would this be a result of misidentification? (my men were getting mortared earlier on), a bug, the Withdraw command (which I've never used) allowing all units to run, or something far darker.. ? cheers, pp
  16. What kind of penetration could we expect from such a vehicle.. shall I stop now?
  17. Well, gamey or not, there is definitely a technical issue with the current flag system. No-one has mentioned CPU games. The other day I finished South of Sword with all 3 flags in my possession - heavy sacrifices were made to gain these objectives, set by my 'superiors' - playing by the spirit of the game. At the end of the game me as Allies and the CPU Axis had roughly the same number of units left, but I had all the flags - yet it was declared a draw! Personally, how a PBEM game is won is irrelevant to me - if someone is using cowardly tactics, I just wouldn't play them again. The way the game measures who has control of the flags seems to be an issue in PBEM and the value of the flags an issue in 1P games.
  18. wot's the point of this list? We all want it! ooh Sir. UK 'ere and no more cuppa tea jokes!
  19. Great stuff, Kump! The comparison pics are really useful - thanks.
  20. No offense taken, but it is a critical game issue when you both have only 1 tank each and have been playing for 2 weeks or so. ------------------ "I like a man who grins when he fights." - Prime Minister Winston Churchill
  21. Ooh I love those Churchills. Ugly buggers, but the APs bounce of its hide like rubber! Just the psychological effect alone on your enemy is invaluable. If you can handle its appalling rate of speed, that is.. ------------------ "I like a man who grins when he fights." - Prime Minister Winston Churchill
