  1. Really looking forward to this one. Had some great fun, especially with the tank battles on the large maps, in the original RO.
  2. Pffft... I have a cunning plan to deal with any kind of finnish intervention...
  3. I am patient. Really. But if we don't get a CM:N forum soon I might not be able to guarantee the well-being of our "guest" much longer. Just saying...
  4. Waitaminute... Does that mean there are actually no flying monkeys at all in CM:N? *cancels preorder*
  5. Graduated? Oh my, how time passes... Glad to hear everything's fine! And yeah, some CM:N-PBEMing would be nice, looking forward to it. I miss those happy days of watching your tanks burn.
  6. Hey Kerry! How are you? Hope the family's fine? @MeatEtr: hehe...
  7. You just have to direct your obsession into a fruitful direction to retain sanity. As for me, I started building up a blood cult sect in my neighbourhood and we have lots of fun with ritual sacrifices, Saturday bingo nights and building a temple out of jelly babies. Once the temple is finished BFC better release CM:N though...
  8. Yummy bones indead. Like the shots from the CMBO alpha. We've come a long way indeed... Sooooo....when is it ready? Is it ready? When will it ship? Why hasn't it already shipped? Are we there yet?
  9. 1944: Across The Rhine. What a terrible game.
  10. Thanks for all your fantastic work, Gordon. I loved your mods, my best wishes to you.
  11. I actually bought CC: TLD and so far have been enjoying it. I've played CC 1-3 back in the days and loved the series, but as many others once CMBO came out I hardly played them again, because Combat Mission was superior in just about all aspects. That being said, CC: TLD is fun, and I really like the campaign, the ability to play with british and canadian forces and the night fighting. There are lots of beautiful maps, full of details, and it's one of those games where you think "just one more battle", then realize it's 2.30 AM in the morning and you have to get up soon... I'd recommend the game for old CC fans who are happy with a slightly updated and improved version of CC: Normandy, who can enjoy the game's strengths and who can overlook the game's quirks.
  12. But... will 0.50 cals take out Tigers?
  13. I consider the 125$ for SB Pro PE one of the best investments in gaming software I've ever done, among stuff like CMx1, IL2 and Falcon 4.0. And yes, I've ordered the upgrade, got it last week, love it.
  14. Sad news, yet not really surprising. Still, a BIG thanks for your efforts, Hunter.
  15. BS is the only game I've touched in the last couple of weeks, I haven't had that much fun with a flightsim since IL2. MSForceFeedback2, Saitek rudder pedals, TrackIR4 and Black Shark-> awesome.
  16. Hehe... I've just spotted Madmatt over at the SimHQ forums. Guess he's enjoying the sim, too!
  17. Right then. Sausages at dawn it is. http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll92/Para_Bellum/hamster.jpg ^^
  18. I certainly didn't want to insult you, Adam. I just get the feeling that your actual experience with Black Shark is kinda superficial. You don't seem to realize that the terrain engine has developed quite a bit since LOMAC and the Flaming Cliffs addon. Your comments are absolutely puzzling to someone who has actually spent a fair amount of time with the sim both offline and in multiplayer missions and I found them quite a bit unfair. Honestly, if you compare Black Shark to a "turkey shoot" and write stuff like "fun, but not realistic" because of the limitations of its grafical engine you should be prepared for the kind of comments I directed at you. My question still stands: did you actually play the campaign? On "realistic" settings? And you still feel it's a "turkey shoot"? If yes, then I certainly pull my hat.
  19. Have you actually played Black Shark? I ask because you make it sound like some arcade-game when in fact it is one of the best simulations I've played in some 20 years of gaming. Spotting too easy? Honestly, we must be playing completely different games. I have no idea what kind of grafical detail you expect from such a sim. Taking your expectations neither the Combat Mission series, nor Falcon 4, Steal Beasts ProPE or IL2 are "realistic".
  20. BTW if you've just installed Black Shark and feel a bit lost, I've created a little "newbie tutorial" together with a simple training mission which might help a bit. http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2626185/STICKY_Tutorial_How_to_take_of.html#Post2626185 I like BS, I like it a lot. It offers IMO one of the best flight models ever done on a home computer, the actual feeling of flight is incredibly well done. The sim IS very complex, but you don't have to actually know every knob and switch in the cockpit, there's a "cheat"-key that auto-starts all systems and to enjoy the sim you really don't need to have a deeper understanding of stuff like the ABRIS system etc. If you're into modern flightsims, BUY Black Shark and support one of the few remaining devs for hardcore sims. It's money well spent.
  21. I've been playing the russian version for weeks and I have no idea what you're talking about. You must be playing on some rather freaky billard tables. And shooting some amazingly tough and deadly turkeys. http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll92/Para_Bellum/bs10.jpg http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll92/Para_Bellum/tut014.jpg
  22. I'd appreciate some feedback regarding Steel Fury, played the demo and quite liked what I saw.
  23. The item in your inventory is not the workbench. Consider it merely the 'certificate' or sumfink like that. The workbench should be in your house, like the rest of the furniture bought. Open your eyes...
