  1. Hey good page Colin. The rules seem to be well thought out.
  2. All you PBEMers out there. I have noticed some popularity with the 76 rule. The problem is the Axis 75 is much better then the allied 76. How about a 75/90 rule? Allied guns to 90 and axis 75. I think they are pretty close in penetration 75/90. Also allow both allied and axis close support 105. Any thoughts?
  3. During a game, as the over all morale goes down how does this affect the units. Do all the units ability to fight go down? Or does it have to do with the scoring? What does it mean?
  4. Well since this thread has been started, and even though we have an answer (thanks Maddmatt) could I ask another question? Will the patch support LAN? If not is there any plans to do so? Thanks
  5. Cross of Iron, if you havn't seen it check it out.
  6. I always must chuckle when I hear they "fought against overwhelming odds". Other than France, Germany's victores were against inferior and smaller forces. Cav Poland was not a smaller inferior force to germany prior to the war. That is why England and France were willing to sign a joint defense pack with Poland. France and England (and many others) thought Poland could defeat Germany in a war and that is why Poland was allowed to goad germany into war. France and England never realized that would have to engulf themselves in total war to save their Polish ally. The fact that the Polish Army was inferior was only proven after the shooting started. Why are the Germans "admired". Germans and Japanese had much lower desertion rates in compared to the allies (until the collapse of the German Army). So they were "tougher". and "History does not remember those who win, only those who fight" Menachem Begin The men in the Germans Army fought well. Just my 2 cents Mrk
  7. I gave my copy of CM to my nephew. As a result the poor kid will probably flunk 8th grade. Now I wander this board and aimlessly read the posting and try to fight the urge to by another copy.
  8. I enjoyed the footage of the German tanks after the carpet bombing (prior to the allied offensive). What a sight to see those tanks after having been tossed about by the bombing. I read once that the surviving crews used ropes and chain to pull the tanks upright then went out to fight. That story always amazed me. After seeing the pictures it cause me to wonder at the courage of those men.
  9. I gave away my game (to my nephew) as I was spending way to much time playing it. I am certain when TCP/IP comes out I will be buying another copy. A game clock would be a nice feature. Additionally this would be very vice compliment to team play . None of us are looking for RTS (obviously) but a game clock is still nice option. I remember playing my brother via telephone in the game Perfect General. He took forever to take his turn. It would really piss me off. I found out years later (from his wife) that he would take a nap during his turn. He considered this to be pyschological warfare.
  10. Anyone know if and when LAN or TCP/IP will be supported?
  11. How do I cancel a ploted move order? I can't find this in the book, it only says a move can be cancelled. Also anyplace I can get a copy of all unit attributes?
