It is an excellent resource for any old games that you are unable to find. I was finally able to run some old games I have due to this site. I had the games and manual, but they would not run without a 360K floppy.

I frequently write to friends overseas. I have started using "The Peoples Banana Republic of America" on the return address portion of my letters. I am interested to see if they actually get there.

Well this is certainly interesting. Would it be possible to post the saved game on the web, or email it to Madmatt and have him post it? Rather than conjecture what is going on, it would be more informative to see it first hand.

Ah yes VGA Planets, that was a fun game. I also played Stars! quite a bit, had two games go almost two years. I am looking forward to Stars Supernova which should be out in the next few months.

I do really *appreciate* the time and effort you have put in on your site. The order of mods list you have will save me hours of fumbling around when my game actually arrives. I have them all downloaded and ready to go (well at least the older version). Hopefully the postman will arrive soon with the desired package.

I agree with the intent of the originator of this thread. This *has* been a problem on several of the boards I read and they all came up with a similar solution: Create an off-topic forum category. The posters must place all off topic posts in that forum. This made the usual forum much easier, faster, and more pleasant to read. Those that like to have fun have a safe place to post. In fact on one of the boards, the off topic forum is slightly more popular than normal forum. I was a lurker before CM was released, and I learned a lot reading the threads back then. While I enjoy reading some of the fluff threads, I think moving them into a different location would benefit all.

According to my political informants, the current US administration doesn’t really care what period or theater CM2 will cover, however the only weapons which will be allowed to be simulated in CM 2 are squirt guns and water balloons.

Thanks for the reply to the problem above. I had the exact same problem (TNT 2 video card and an old Voodoo II card that I seldom use. Just clicking select next worked just fine after I finally connected the video cable to the Voodoo II card <g>.
