I say we take off and nuke the sight from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.

If we are going to talk any realism on the 'Indecisive' thing, then we have to mention the fact that we can see the time pause on units orders at all.
"Hmmm...WEll, that inf. is going to pause for 23 seconds before it moves out, and that tank for 36. So I better wait another 15 seconds before i run into these woods."
Would be interesting if we could not see the pause times at all.

I have found that, if you have the numbers to do it, splitting squads helps to assault occupied buildings. You lose some on the firepower scale, but at that range you still have a lot. This makes the defending squad only shoot at one squad when defending the building. Yes, that half squad might get rocked a bit, but you will still take the building. Assaulting from 2 angles with 4 half squads seems to break the moral of the defending troops very quickly. Also, bring a commander (HQ unit) along in the assault, preferably one with combat bonus. Units in line of sight (command control) assault better as well. Another thing to note is which squads have grenades and or satchel charges left or which squad has the most close quarter weapons (smg's for the most part), send in the squads with the close quarters support and then follow up the assault with some support squads so that the assaulting squad does not have to defend the building too, give em a little bit of a break to recoup lost moral. Hope this helps.

Would it be possible to patch the save pbem file in the next version. Right now it just save's it to your pbem folder, not giving you a choice of where you want to save it too. I have multiple games going that i keep in different folders in my pbem directory, would be nice if I didn't have to do the cut and paste thing to the right folder each time i do a PBEM game. Just a suggestion to make it a little bit easier, with my arthritis at this age it hurts to click too many times.

Second game??? My holy butt, i have sent a few of Shandorf's nazi's to meet their maker. And personaly I like the shermans, always lots of HE to support the inf. Even if you have to run from the german tanks.

I will be up all friday night, screwing around with the computer. Would love to get some pbem games going as well. Either crank the turns out tonight, or just get something started.

I can just picture all of these military scientists shooting at dummies in the woods, and buildings.
"Gee Jim, i would say that dummy is 32% exposed there."

Hey guys, going to do a marathon session of pbem tonight, so set it up and send it.

All of this 'gamey' talk is kind of pointless, cause no one in their right mind would give us supreme command over this many units in the first place. If we want to be realistic, we get to control one guy of one squad and the battle field should be just what he can see.

I am looking for PBEM peoples. I prefer Americans (since everyone seems to like the germans) I like all battles and scenarios. Can play bout 1 turn or 2 per day, and more if we set up some times.
Send anything to Steve.sather@usa.net
