I just took my first bite - QB, Warrior level, meeting engagement as axis. I purchased the forces fo me and let the game purchase for the AI. Note to self - crank up the diffuculty, and don't buy elite stuff. Result was so ugly: Total victory to axis with no casualties at all. Score 1000 - 0:D But what a great game! GJ BFC!

Hooray! I remember the reaction on this board after 9/11. A board member posted: "Someone is going to pay". Now he has. Sadly there still are tons of a-holes who use religion to brainwash children to be suicide bombers :mad: But this news just made my day. I guess this calls for a party around the globe!

Another old timer reporting back to duty! Man, it's been a while! I thing the last CMBB game I played was back in 2004 or something like that. But now I preordered Normandy and looking forward to battle with old foes again...

Well well. Just preordered the Normandy. It has been a long time since I read this board/played CM. Almost seven years now. But it's good to be back - and seeing my old time foe/victim Spanish Bombs still around to be bullied/crushed just warms my battle-hardened heart! ;-)

Sergei, it's time to bring in the big guns...You must somehow deliver a large stock of vodka to your enemy (by ampulomet perhaps?). It is known fact that when they step on large rations of alcohol, any Finnish strategy backfires in a matter of minutes...

Holy crap, Redwolf. Please read again all of my comments about the matter. I have been bitten by the bug IMO, but I still got a decent chance. Don't sell my belongings while I'm still breathing, dammit! One big mess perhaps isn't what You think it is. Some losses, Yes. Catastrophy? No way. As I said, by all means those not fighting for wine may play whatever version BUT their score should not count into the Nabla scoring. I just hope we'll get enough point material for the system to work. I have a gut feeling that majority of us agrees with me. -Juha

Kanonier, I think You said it very clear. During this tournament, 1.02 should and will be used. If someone refuses to do so, his section should not be counted in the Nabla - scoring. By all means, if You are not in position to fight for the wine and want to use 1.03 then do it. BUT please tell it to Kingfish. He should exclude those game results from Nabla - scoring. This is the only way to have same rules for everyone! -Juha

Yep, if You want to place Your guns to best possible position, the bug comes into the picture. Nobody shoud be accused "using" the bug! I'm glad You guys see my point. You don't change the "rules" during any other form of a game (not including tv reality shows ) either. If the finals were launched today, I among others woud vote to play with 1.03. Alas, the games are already rolling and that is just not acceptable. -Juha

Too late. I ran into one gun with god mode on, and it made one big mess. I hate to spoil the fun, but I for one have already had the chance to "enjoy" that feature. So in my point of view, if others play with 1.03 I am the one who gets shafted. Sorry, but I vote 1.02 to the end of this tourney - that's what we agreed at the beginning. And that's what the scenarios are tested with. If we go to 1.03, the medians won't be the same IMO. -Juha
