  1. I'm pretty sure that other SES dude mentioned making his draconian copy protection only a little bit more user friendly. Still have to pass. Personally, I'm looking forward to War Plan Pacific from wwwdotkestudiosdotcom and shrapnelgames.
  2. This 1982 version is my favorite http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084637/ Found the 1934 version at Walmart for $1 not too long ago.
  3. Get a shareware hypersnap and take a picture of that website, get a freeware gimp and crop each of those nato units into its own .bmp, then copy and paste them into a copy of unit_sprites_military.bmp.
  4. ...and neither are we. You buy the game, you can use it anyway you want, as often as you want, even install it on two computers at the same time, deinstall, reinstall 5 years later, no problems. The only thing you cannot do is copy it and distribute it to others. You'll be happy about the fineprint. We are Battlefront after all, not some big name no face publisher. What you are not going to be happy about is that th view on the use of cracks that you mentioned in the quote above disqualifies you from being a member in this forum. I am therefore going to ban you with immediate effect. I am deeply disturbed that apparently a beta tester for Panther Games is advertising using cracks for our games, and I am going to email Dave about this to alert him to your view, which, if you were doing beta testing for us, would be a little troubling to say the least. 5. I just mentioned it because so few people use rar. Effectively you're setting up a stumbling block to them using the mod by making them download another utility. I provided the link to 7zip since it's freeware, and it can extract your rar files Fantomas. Wasn't trying to get you to switch to it, just provide something that others could extract your files with if they wanted to try the mod. Winrar will work too of course, but it's shareware.
  6. There were some "Birth of America" Grenadiers on my SC2 demo map just the other night. Wish there was a bit more room for counters similiar to Mark H. Walker's though.
  7. Tried out the mod and enjoying it! A good freeware rar extractor is http://www.7-zip.org/ You might consider using zip instead of rar, it's just so much more widely accepted. Just a thought. Thanks!
  8. Good idea! Now just to find the Power Archiver 6 CDR, ack. Where did I put it? [ April 08, 2006, 09:03 PM: Message edited by: Hentzau ]
  9. You know what would work well, what if you made the counters look like blocks as in http://www.columbiagames.com/ Hammer of the Scots Or just think of them as really thick counters? Then maybe you could just leave the tile lines and or the hex lines off altogether.
  10. All I'm saying is that I'm tired of copy protection, ie: starforce, that does way more than it was supposed to do in the first place. As long as copy protection on SC2 only does what it's supposed to do I'm fine, although as a customer I'd rather they left copy protection off. I've even had problems with safedisc and IL2 way back so it's not like any of these copy protection schemes really work perfectly. Starforce on Enigma Rising Tide caused me to burn coasters for awhile. The nice big paper manual ONLY should be all the copy protection they need. Lets just stop discussing it because I'm not going to reply kindly to quotes like the above from the you.
  11. I'm referring to my ability to burn data CDs in general, not CD copies of the game.
  12. After the editor, you know what will be the coolest to me? If they just don't put any fracked copy protection on the thing that either effects my system or my ability to burn CDs. After all the crap dealing with starforce, now look at this thread http://www.madminutegames.com/MadMinuteBB/viewtopic.php?t=3106
