1. Just wondering if anyone has the link to that video that was talked about? It has been around 10 months since I last posted, looks like it is just in time for the next release? Horrido
 2. I was thinking Panther but did not know that the Marder III had a low rating as well. Does CM model this? Thanks, Horrido
 3. Gremlin - Thanks, I'm ready the link right now. I'm guessing this will help. Horrido
 4. I was wondering what the tank/TD that is LEAST likly to get stuck in wet/muddy/rain in CM is? Also Has anyone written a guide on how to use TRPs? Thanks Gents! Horrido
 5. Thanks for the link Pvt. Ryan, I was just about to buy another monitor and am now going to get an even better one for the review. Horrido
quote:
Originally posted by Pvt. I think this link gives the same info contained in the magazine: http://www.zdnet.com/pcmag/stories/reviews/0,6755,2339927,00.html

 6. Thanks Scooleen, I'm taking a look at the Sony tubes now. Horrido
 7. Thanks everyone, I have several choices now to pick from. David - I HOPE you did not type a new response just for me? I HOPE that was a cut-and-paste? Regardless, thank you for a well thought out and informatiove post! Your information really helped. Horrido
 8. Thanks, the link has helped! The G790 still is rated number one for cost vs. performance. Horrido
 9. Hello everyone! Around a month ago, I read a post on recommened 19" monitors. I have done a search and used many different key words but could not come up with the thread. I thought the recommended cost/performance leader was a monitor with an "LD" in the name but I'm not sure. The "LD" could be a distractor as well, I may have it all wrong. Can I get some help from the crowd? Thanks, Horrido

 11. Sounds fun, can you send it to me please? Thanks, Horrido Email address is in my profile. THX!
quote:
Originally posted by rune: From the warped mind of me....as a Xmas present to all of you... Drop me an email if you are interested, but whoever hosts the battle better have a fast computer. Mace had this to say about the scenario: <Mace> hmmmm..."more exciting than being involved in an automobile accident" Drop me an email if you want it. Rune

 12. Thanks Stuka! I'll check it out. Horrido
quote:
Originally posted by Stuka: Hercules prophet geforce2 MX has the dual monitor thingey (I think)

 13. So the annihilator 2 mx is the dual monitor version? Made by creative...any major differances between the GeForce 2MX and the GeForce 2 GTS? Thanks! Horrido
quote:
Originally posted by Spii: yep brooktrout, i think that is what the creative site was talking about (wrapper) of some kind. GeForce 2 mx runs really fast, looks good, and at fraction of cost of the non-mx models. I had to order direct from creative to get it (annihilator 2 mx). So far seems to have the graphic quality of a matrix with much more speed.

 14. VCents - You should send a Bug report to Matt to see if they know of this issue AND so that they can warn others that they MAY need to delete the non BETA from the CM directory (of course BTS may want to test this AND see if it is really a noteable issue). They may find it is a one-time issue and not worry about it. Horrido
quote:
Originally posted by vcents: Which I have done...then it works great..clicking on the cm public beta exe launches the correct version of the patch. My question is why does 1.05 run when I click on either cm exe or cm public beta exe (with both in the CMBO directory), but when I move the cm exe to another location (a temp folder) and have run just the cm public beta exe in the CMBO directory the proper beta versions runs. In a nutshell: if both exe's are in the directory, it runs 1.05. If just the cm public beta exe is in the directory by itself, it runs the proper version.

 15.
quote:
Originally posted by Spii: bring on the hi-res, this game is looking better everyday, nice work mod men!

Youe have a GeForce 2MX? How do you like it, what about the two monitor ability? How is that working out for you? I'm thinking of getting this card and wanted to talk to some people who are using it. Any issues? Horrido
 16. Can you move 1.05 to another location and then launch the Public BETA from the CM directory? Horrido
quote:
Originally posted by vcents: Nope...not clicking on the icon on the desktop..double-clicking on the exe in Windows Exploder..errr..Explorer.

 17. I think you are correct...You'll need to talk to some of the BTS support guys (Matt, Steve, or Charles). I guess I was wondering why your friend will not load the latest patch? Once that is done and you have it you are all set. Just curious, Horrido
 18. What is the main reason you do not want to load the BETA...This is not like BETA software from Microsoft as in an OS or something. The BETA works great and is very stable. I have 1.23 on now and have had no problems that I did not cause. If you d/l the BETA (it is mostly only one EXE) It is named different so you can keep the 1.05 patch also and always go back to it if needed. Not only that but you can help BTS with any BUGS you MAY find. I personally think I had many more bugs in 1.05 than in 1.23 BETA. Just my two cents, Horrido
 19. Are you using an icon to launch CM? Maybe that is the issue. I deleted all the old icons and the 1.05 build and then created a new icon on my desktop for the latest build. Works great now. Hope that helps, Horrido
 20. MadMatt - This is the same issue that I sent a bug report to you about Monday. Horrido
 21. Same error...take a look at the error log, it may say down near the bottom that it can not load #1720 or something like that and it generates the error you all are having. Here is what I did: I had to load 1.05 FIRST then any BETA patch...it seems to be looking for some fire or explosion graphics that are not included in the BETA patches. Hope this helps, Horrido
quote:
Originally posted by stimpy: After clicking on a game to load and getting the "loading 3d graphics" screen, the error is: "ERROR: GGraphic.cpp line 711. Exiting program." Anyone else having this prob? System: win2k PII/450 Creative Annihilator Pro (GeForce DDR 32Meg) 256Meg SBLive etc. Thanks stimpy

 22. O.K. I figured it out and it WAS my fault! You need to bring your machine to the latest rev. before the BETA and then add the BETA patch. I'm sure this is in the instructions but I did NOT RTFM! Man am I mad! It works on ALL the DELL machines! The error WAS saying it could not find BMP 1720 because THAT one was in the latest patch and NOT the BETA! DOH! Thanks everyone! Horrido
 23. MadMatt is also trying to nrrow this down and explained the tolerance issue as well. I loaded CM off the CD and then tested the game...same error. I then added the latest BETA and got the same error (after deleting the prefs file. As far as the video driver goes, yes I did. It is the latest Dell laptop (We are helping Dell test them). It replaces the CPx-x line of products. I downloaded the latest ATI Mobility driver and have the same error. I'll go try and find the latest non BETA patch and see if I get the same error. Strange thing really is that we get the error on Dell OptiPlex GX110 (Intel 810 chip), W2K Pro-SP1, PIII 866 and 700. We also get the same error on the Latitude as well??? Thanks for any help you can offer. Horrido
 24. I read in the Forum that some of you have Latitudes and W2k? I just bought a C600 /128MB/ PIII 700 with an ATI Mobility AGP 8MB card. I get an error when I run CM. I can pick sides and once the computer displays the maps and is getting ready to show the setup map I get a "GGraphics" error in Line 711? Have you ever seen this issue before? Any help would be welcome. Horrido [This message has been edited by Horrido (edited 12-19-2000).]
