  1. Hi there, Just sent you a message, check it out.
  2. Quick update: Switching AA to 8xQ in Nvidia Control panel eliminates flickering. How weird is that?
  3. Rune, What exactly do you mean by "a little work"? I'm not being able to make it run 100% because my screen flickers a lot (mainly the fonts), everything else is running perfectly.
  4. Hi there, I just installed Windows 7 x64 beta booting from a partition on my HD. So far I'm very impressed on how it performs and yesterday I installed CMSF on it. It's working "well" as it doesn't CTD or anything but I'm getting a nasty flickering on some parts of the graphics. I'm using the latest Nvidia WHQL for Vista x64. Did anyone else try with different results?
  5. Here´s my config: C2D E6600 @stock 2Gb Cellshock PC6400 BFG 8800GTS w/163.44 Windows Vista 32bits I´m having the same problems, jerky graphics on the larger maps. Trying out Trooper5's suggestions I'm having a much better experience with CMSF although I would expect to use much better settings with my config. Setting AA and Vsync off and balanced settings for models and textures (with AA 4x and AF 8X on Nvidia control panel) did the trick and I'm finally enjoying CMSF.
  6. I have the same issue, 8800GTS on Vista32 with latest Nvidia drivers.
  7. I'll just complement the information posted by HawkerT. There's a slight texture problem I've already informed Oudy by email about that. Other than that it's a excellent job. It looks and feels like a new tank instead of something adapted (besides the issues HawkerT pointed out). Here are a few pictures to illustrate what I'm saying: Encyclopedia view (please note what HawkerT pointed out): PzIVF1 in action: T34-41 met his fate with 2 HEAT shells (side turret and hull), who said these things were invincible?: Overall a very professional job... congratulations Oudy, very well done.
  8. Oudy, I sent my feedback by email. I'll post it here (with pictures) later today. One thing I can say, GREAT WORK There's a future for TOW afterall (I always knew that).
  9. Great work Oudy! If you can send me the file, I'll test it later today and post feedback here. email: sidiane.tramontina@terra.com.br
  10. I had the same problem with that mission. I had all of my AT guns intact and some infantry available, most of the snowmobiles were functional. The germans had 2 ACs and some 5-6 infantry waiting on the reverse slope. First 2-3 ATGs I displaced were quickly destroyed. Sadly to report I went with a non-conventional tactic (read gamey). I left one AT gun on the left side ridge and advanced two others, their destination was just before the point where the other two were destroyed. When they were in position I used the snowmobiles as decoy (with a side effect of killing some infantry) and assaulted the ACs with my available inf. Taking advantage of all the confusion, I advanced the ATGs and managed to kill one AC. The remaining AC fled up the road and was picked up by my other ATG in ambush. After destroying the ACs dealing with the remaining infantry was easy.
  11. Bestsharing is working great. I can't download from Megaupload.
  12. Can you please post a new mirror for these videos. I'm sure they would help me greatly but I can't use Rapidshare (or Megaupload for that matter).
  13. Webwing, although I'd love to watch your tutorials but I'm unable to download from Rapidshare. This weekend I'll try to d/l them from another computer. Jippo, SGT, thank you for your comments.
  14. I bought my first Battlefront game years ago, right after it was out. The name of the game was Combat Mission Beyond Overlord and I was hooked right from trying the demo. I still remember the emails from Charles, and personally I was surprised how professional the product was considering such a small company was taking care of everything. CMBB and CMAK followed and I bought both of them and had a blast, this time diving into PBEM confrontations, tournaments. I looked at TOW with some distrust although I've been following it since it was called WW2 RTS by 1C. When I heard Batlefront was going to take care of the project I was thrilled. Last wednesday after lurking around for a long time on these forums I took the plunge and purchased TOW. Now I know some of you are wondering if I'm going to say how disappointed I am with TOW and Battlefront. That's really not the case. I have found TOW to be a unpolished gem. After seeing the efforts from Madmatt and also from the community (I'd like to mention Oudy and FinnN), I'm sure this will grow up to be one of THE wargames to be remembered in the future. That brings me to my only request to Battlefront (specially considering Shock Force is soon to be released and it's a "home made" product): Please do not forget TOW. Let it grow to the point it deserves. Well, just my 2cents worth of opinion. Now I just need to learn how to use the mission editor properly. TOW's weakest point are definitely the missions that came with it.
  15. One can always try... afterall it WAS a interesting subject...
