If you manage to keep your concentration for the whole duration of the movie, it actually is a really good film. It's more than just a war movie, IMO.

I've found it to be easiest to use a combination of the opponents name or the scenarios name and consecutive numbering. For example the first file would be named JoeBill01.txt, the second JoeBill02.txt and so on. This way you won't naturally be able to tell which one is a movie file, except maybe from the size of the file.

I second Doubler's "Closing with the Enemy". For a look on panzer tactics, on a slightly larger scale though, I can recommend Mellinthin's "Panzer Battles".

I've had the same problem sometimes, especially when transferring files over ICQ. It seems that sometimes a part of the file just gets left out and that's why CM won't recognize it as a proper PBEM file.

I'm also having the same problem with my Voodoo 3 3000. My system specs: PII-400, 128MB Ram, latest Voodoo drivers, DirectX 7.0a, Windows 98.

Great screenshots, I'm waiting eagerly for the follow-up.

Yes, at least for me it did. Some of the larger maps may cause some slowdowns, however.

I had the same thing happen to me yesterday. First a few tiles turned white and when I rolled the map around, all tiles turned white. My system is a PII-400 with a Voodoo3 3000 video card. I switched quite a few times between the Windows desktop and CM while I was playing, could it have something to do with that.

I finally got my copy of this glorious game this monday and I'm already totally hooked (Actually I've been hooked ever since I saw the demo a month ago). I've spent way too much money on WWII books and my social life is virtually inexistent Anyway, I'd like to get a PBEM game or two going. I'm willing to receive a proper beating, I guess it's one of the best ways to learn... I can do 1-3 turns per day, maybe more in the weekends.
