  1. Indeed - awesomely impressive, providing you keep them far enough out of trouble
  2. Do you have the desktop presumably? If so, get a basic(ish) Nvidia card. Preferably a low-end card, as these will require less power.
  3. Thanks guys. I have downloaded your Sherman V mod and for some reason it doesn't appear to work in MG. Just checking to see why. No Firefly VC either? Ignore.. I don't know why but I had to completely come out of MG and reload before the mods would show up. I've not had to completely restart before.
  4. I'm playing through the allied campaign in Market Garden and am trying to find some British Staghound/Daimler mods - do they exist?
  5. On a road, sure it is not ideal, but on ground other than road, it works quite well. Having said that, I have used this method on road frequently. With adjustments, it works and can be quicker than individual plotting but it does depend on the other factors of course.
  6. Well, you can group select to specify certain units. Then you can right click on the destination and choose your movement and all the units grouped will go towards that destination. It isn't perfect by any means, but importantly it saves time. At least you can make minor waypoint alterations afterwards.
  7. That looks fabulous! Worth getting a mac for.. I have to say, it's a bit speedier on the pc too!
  8. Just put it this way. They are very vulnerable to small arms so you wouldn't want them that close to the enemy. But with LOS at great distance, they are incredible.
  9. Okay I think it's the mission I was thinking of, but it's been a while since I played it. It's a difficult one for sure. What I did was keep a few MG teams down on the right flank - and keep most other units on the left. I drew fire from the MG's on the right whilst laying a vertical smoke barrage on the left - I ran a few units up the left flank. Heavy artillery bombardment horizontal across the top. Most enemy units are in defilade if I recall which causes problems when you reach the top. It's that part that is harder. When you get there post another pic and let me know your progress. I enjoyed this mission as far as I recall.
  10. *SPOILERS* Okay I think I know - but that single TRP is confusing me.. Could I have a screen capture of the starting position just to confirm. I believe this is the mission where you need to use generous quantities of smoke to cover your advance up one flank - but you also need to use generous amounts of heavy artillery to suppress the Germans dug in on the top. There is a large AT gun up there as far as I recall. But I need a screen shot just to confirm.
  11. Battle 3 - is that the one with the great hill to climb? Explain it to me first and I'll try to help. I haven't played GL in a fair while since beta testing Market Garden.
  12. You chaps seen the new trailer for Market Garden?? Wow. Can't wait to try it..
  13. I have just downloaded these. I haven't put them in game yet but I have listened to a few individually and they sound fantastic. Will have to see what they are like in game now.
  14. I remember in cmx1 there was a details panel you could bring up which told you exactly that.
  15. School of Hard Knocks is tough but beatable. I managed it once. This is incredibly difficult. As MD says, some missions are meant to be 'experienced'. I think what I might try is small platoon action rather than focussing the whole force. I'll keep most back and work one angle at a time. I'll also use a couple of smaller teams as artillery 'bait'. See what happens. By the way, I won't divulge too much but I ceasefired my mission and examined the map. The German force in this mission is immense.
  16. Yep I can't do it either, and I beta tested it I've tried a number of different approaches, concentrating primarily on the centre - but obviously that's where the FJ are focussing too. The mines are the killer for me - I can't advance my tanks much further than the first row of mines without losing at least one. I have to use lots of smoke to cover the infantry advance but the German mortars are lethal as they are targetting this central channel with great effect. I've tried flanking two platoons left and right but the mines delay and the enemy machine guns mean I take huge losses before I even reach the summit. I think smoke is going to be key, as well as huge amounts of prep artillery to soften the dug in positions, but either way casualties are going to be extreme. I will keep trying.
  17. I've done it for the LE with scopes - but I notice there are some HE shells missing. The US L/16 75mm shell doesn't exist. Curiously the German 81mm mortar shell doesn't seem to appear for me either. lee-enfield_n1_mkiii_scope green lee-enfield_n1_mkiii_scope yellow Does the trick, although the mouse-over no longer reports them as Lee Enfields, only the n1 mkiii.
  18. haha Juju, the Force is strong Gustav is a surprisingly good module you should consider investing.
