1. Well, I had a bad start and it was just getting worse. Also, my computer has been acting funny lately, making it hard to get turns out. So I decided that it would be best to surrender. Now, if I had known Stuka would call it a "cowardly surrender" publicly on this board I would have ordered my brave soldiers to fight to the last man!
2. I've got 2 games still going. Both should be over pretty soon. I think anyway. Hard to tell with these sorts of things
3. Guys in my group- Our cable modem died yesterday, so I'm without internet access again. We have been promised phone service soon so hopefully I can get turns out in a few days. Sorry for the delay. CrossBar
4. I know someone who will jump in for Blue Macs in a second if you need somebody. CrossBar
5. An update for the guys in my group- I still don't have a phone but I'm supposed to get a cable modem on Thursday. Assuming that goes okay, I should have turns out by Thursday night. Wish me luck
6. To the guys in my group- Due to a strike of my phone company, I'm without internet access (for the most part). I'm hoping to get a phone line by the end of next week (or maybe a cable modem) Sorry guys and I'll contact you when I get back on the net.
7. What the heck, why not make my first attempt at an email game a tourney? Sign me up. cjh131@psu.edu
8.
quote:
Originally posted by GreasyPig: After a while of playing the Market-Garden OP my computer started accessing the hard-drive every few seconds for a few seconds. This caused a pause every time it happend, very annoying. I save, reboot and play and all is well again for a while then it starts again. I'm going to try to play without mods tonight to see if that helps, although, Im sure to miss the additions. I have a PII 300 with 64meg and a 16meg Banshi card. GreasyPig slow I know, Has anyone else seen this??

I had the same problem. Installing the newest Intellipoint mouse drivers seemed to clear it up for me. Hope that helps.
9. I'm having a problem running the demo in Windows 2000. Most everything works right but some text does not get displayed. For example, the mission briefings just appear to be a black box with the normal buttons to the right side (scroll up and down, cancel, done). None of the mission briefing text can be seen. Also, the after action report just shows up as a black screen with the map and ok buttons on the bottom of the screen. If I click on map and then click on the go button, I can see the after action totals superimposed over whatever I was last viewing on the map. Very strange. I'm running a TNT video card with the latest (I believe) 5.22 drivers. Any help you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping to get everything working correctly by the time the full version gets here.
