Sergei, I am positive there is no LOS (I hecked). I can't say if it's all the time or randomly, because I have not deliberately tested. I am speaking from experience, but I am sure something is wrong here, and there is at least one other player who has seen it too. I don't know if sound contacts are generating bogey sightings, but the
enemy units appear where a sound contact might be.
I do have some PBEM replay files that show this. I have not seen it with v1.02 because I haven't played with v1.02 yet.

I keep seeing enemy vehicles to which I don't have an LOS (they are way back in the enemy area). I've seen this
in CMBO, too. My theory is that these are vehicles that have been previously
visually identified, and now just hearing them automatically identifies them. In other
words, the ID level of an enemy unit never drops. Is this correct and are there
plans to improve it?

Hm, those tanks had had no movement orders, and it's strange that the LOS was acquired by several tanks at once.

While plotting a turn with v1.0 I checked a few LOSs from a group of my tanks to an enemy ATG, and the LOSs were broken by the edge of the plateau the tanks were on.
I sent my move to my PBEM opponent, he converted to v1.01 and sent back his file. I converted too,
and then loaded the file. The action replay showed the tanks and the ATG exchanging fire, i.e. the LOSs were clear.
Most strange.

Howdy all,
To answer the question about operating systems, I'm running SCET on Windows 98 SE and after a while the game turns sluggish, i.e. it doesn't respond as quickly to mouse input. I have 512 MB RAM, GeForce 3 Ti200, DirectX 9.0, video driver v40.72.
I'll try changing the directx line now.
