  1. BB, Yup, while reading your post, I finished the invasion of the Soviet Union. It went well... Well, it actually varies quite a bit. For example, the Allied turns in 1939 and 1940 should take less than five minutes, as should the Axis turns in 1945. Everything between those dates should take longer.
  2. More results from the SuperNewbies: Splash (German, 42) and Witko (British, 40) played to a draw in Crash Landing. This was not enough for Splash to overtake Witko's lead from the first leg of Round 1. So, Witko wins Round 1 with an overall score of 97-68 and advances to the SuperNewbies Final! Congratulations to Witko!
  3. CDIC, Uh, I suppose that would be better than doing it together to Charl.
  4. 15 minutes for ONE turn right? NOT 15 minutes to play out the campaign? </font>
  5. Lah, Well, it depends which side you have and period of the war it is. I have played the entire campaign and it has never taken more than about 15 minutes.
  6. Guys, I sent an email to WvG. Thanks. Ted [ May 15, 2002, 07:50 PM: Message edited by: SuperTed ]
  7. Tomcat sent over the latest on the Rugged Defense CM tournaments. Swing over and get all the details.
  8. Gary, I tried a few of the links and they all worked for me. Are you using the new address?
  9. WvG has added a little something to CM : Mod Depot to help keep your mind off CMBB for a while.
  10. Mr C, Poof! If you yell "Timeout!" very loudly, the enemy will pause hostilities long enough for all your units to upgrade simultaneously.
  11. Guys, I just finished playing the Allies on the default settings. -I almost held France -Denmark lasted about six months -the African campaign never happened -the German navy was destroyed by the end of 1940 -Norway and Greece remained neutral -the Blitz never happened -the Axis invaded the Soviet Union late in 1941 -Minsk and Kiev never fell -the Soviets liberated Paris -Germany surrendered November 14, 1943 -Italy surrendered December 12, 1943 -Vichy France was the last Axis power standing! Now, having said that, there are two ways to make the AI better: experience and MPPs. I suspect they would do a much better job on the tougher settings. 12. Well, folks, all the pieces are in place. I'll get Cpl Carrot up to speed ASAP and the scenarios will be in the works shortly. Stay tuned for more announcements.
  13. It seems I heard a rumor about Boots & Tracks finally getting off their lazy arses and doing something. If you'd like to find out for yourself, I suppose you could check the news. I probably won't bother...
  14. P-Man: You guys rock! Cpl. Carrot: Are you still on to be the administrator? Please email me at tedquincey@yahoo.com.
  15. Straha, Bump? What bump?
  16. Michael Dorosh has added a few items of interest at GD for CM. It's definitely worth a look.
  17. I'm sure you've heard the rumors that Boot & Tracks has been hard at work getting a new website designed and preparing lots of other goodies. Well, the rumors are indeed true! B&T has a new website and will be celebrating the grand re-opening by having a Block Party! Over the next week or so, you'll want to visit every day to see what the team has for your playing and reading pleasure. Come on over here and take a look. I would like to thank Dingo, the Military Gamer Online webmaster that had the patience to work through the many incarnations of the site until everybody was happy with it. Also, I would like to thank the entire B&T team for all their hard work and contributions. It is the team effort that has gotten us back into the fast lane of scenario design. Enjoy!
