If only some textures don't work, maybe you have some of them corrupted. Seems more as a silly mod than a driver error. http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/smile.gif
Try reinstalling them.
I saw 'Small Unit Actions in the Russo-German War' is a free publication. Do you know if we can get it from internet?
I read some articles, refered to pioneer operations, in a site about german engineers. How about the whole book?
I can't imagine a T-34 being attacked by Panzerfaust from 20 m and the riding infantry looking at the show while waiting for an "unmount" order...http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/biggrin.gif
It seems that the firing ports in WW2 and actual vehicles were made to see the enemy approaching...http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/eek.gif
I accept the tanks giving no protection to riding (and following) infantry, but not allowing them to fire an AT team at 20m, while stationary, is something abnormal.
Robert: I agree.
I also want to see the possibility of purchasing units in normal scenarios or operations, like in CloseCombat: some units are fixed and you have an extra ammount of credits to spend as you like.
I'm thinking in something very simple:
Unit Type MenOK Casualties Ammo
A-0 BatHQ 7 1 32
...
generated at the end of every turn in a temporal text file.
With this file is easy to generate reports, lists of units available, casualties in the turn...
I promise an application to do so for Macintosh.
Mostro
It's easy to generate smaller pictures from greater ones. Graphic Converter allows you to open de gridded grass 512x512 .BMP and generate a 256x256 picture very similar, if you sharp it.
I have noticed two little bugs (?) after upgrading to 1.05:
- I can't "place" vehicles with mounted infantry in the "setup" phase. The other vehicles are can be placed freely. Test the US setup phase in "Singling shotout", for an example.
- I can see some white dots remaining on the terrain after testing LOS
I'm sure all two things are new in 1.05
I tried "Operation Sea Lion", with a lot of air support prepared, and see no planes (in Clear weather)
In the "Carentan" operation (supplied with the CD) the planes work fine.
Ciao Roberto!
Well, I'm also waiting for the full version to continue PBEM with you.
Preordered in January, my copy shipped on 06/23, and I'm still waiting.
Last shippings, I think, were by UPS and arrive in only a few days.
