1.
quote:
Originally posted by Rondor: I assume those that are posting all the great shots in the various CM sites are using a screenshot util. Can anyone recommend one (hopefully freeware/shareware) that I can download? Thanks in advance... Rondor

Press the Print Scrn key. Then Esc out of CM. Then Open Photoshop (or another equivalent program). Then open a new document. Then click paste. Finally, press Save. Hope this helps. ------------------ No smilies were harmed in the making of this post.
 2. Well, on this particular map, there were a lot of open places, and no where for me to hide. I wouldn't think I would set up with 4 anti-tank weapons pointed at me, I'm not THAT stoooopid.
 3.
quote:
Originally posted by David Aitken: I can understand where you're coming from, CEO, but is it really worth it? A few seconds at the beginning of the battle and that's it. Charles would basically have to reprogram units to behave differently in that one specific circumstance. Just assume that your guys haven't been sitting there for half an hour - they've just moved up from the rear, and they're just being issued with orders, so the command delay is no big deal. David

Well, it is a big deal when my 4 armored cars get smoked in the first few seconds on the first turn because they are not in the process of hauling ass. Oh well, I guess I can just consider it an ambush or something. Or I'll just have to try and find a spot where no one can see me (not always an option). ------------------ No smilies were harmed in the making of this post.
 4. I would like to requst the following be added: When a unit is given orders to move on the FIRST turn of the battle, there should be no command delay for the unit. Yes? No? Time to don asbestos suit... ------------------ No smilies were harmed in the making of this post.
 5.
quote:
Originally posted by Madmatt: I just checked this to be sure but my tanks (and the AI's) dont hesitate but are immediately in motion at the begining of a turn where they had orders to move a distance that was not complete after 60 seconds. Are you sure you arent just seeing tanks that have halted? Are these your tanks too and are you adding continuous waypoints or just adding new commands to an existing command chain? If the later then after each waypoint the normal command delay will occur. Madmatt

It was me vs. the AI. It seemed that after the end of every turn the tanks/half-tracks would just stop and they would not be in motion the next turn. I'll try another scenario to verify. ------------------ No smilies were harmed in the making of this post.
 6. I don't know if this is intentional or not, but has anyone else notice that if an AI tank is cruising around at the end of the turn (and he looks like he'll keep moving), when the next turn starts, they are stopped? Is this a bug, or is this designed in for some reason? I would think they would keep on moving, yes? no? I am using Ver. 1.04. ------------------ No smilies were harmed in the making of this post.
 7.
quote:
Originally posted by Big Time Software: The FT would move up, fire, and get out. If you are trying to do anything other than this or Ambushing, you are (according to the veteran and his studies) using it incorrectly. It is not a general purpose offensive weapon, rather something good for a rather easy to hit, but tough, target. Steve

Yeah Berli, you better listen to this one. ------------------ No smilies were harmed in the making of this post.
 8.
quote:
Originally posted by Madmatt: Nice screenshots they got there. Maybe next time they will actually give me credit since they ripped them all from CMHQ without asking! Madmatt

Sick 'em Madmatt. ------------------ No smilies were harmed in the making of this post.

 10. How about an option in the quick battle to select any of the experience levels for your troops. So you can have green troops and conscript troops. ------------------ No smilies were harmed in the making of this post.
 11. Please send me a QB set-up. I'll be any side. Just try and keep the points to 1000 or less. I'll take the first 5 or so. Thanks. Don't be shy, just send 'em. email: latvala@uswest.net ------------------ No smilies were harmed in the making of this post.
 12.
quote:
Originally posted by Eridani: I must say the funniest thing I ever saw, I was playing an op... I ordered one of my jeeps to run down a road at high speed for recon. Well, unfortunately, sed road was mined. The poor little jeep plowed full speed into a mine field and exploded with a catastrophic explosion, then CONTINUED down the road, setting off 3-4 MORE minefields, including 2 more catastrophic explosions... needless to say I'm sure there wasn't much left of the jeep when it stopped rolling... nope, the poor fool never got out. But he gave me good recon, he found 4 of the enemy minefields all by himself lol -EridanMan

Okay. That beats mine. ------------------ No smilies were harmed in the making of this post.
 13. The funniest thing I experienced was during an operation (can't remember which one). My jeep is cruising down the road, just tooling around. Then he hits a mine field, and the jeep keeps going for a hundred meters or so down the road! THAT was funny. ------------------ No smilies were harmed in the making of this post.
