I can understand the desire to include them, but unless one provides documentation that a certain vehicle was operational in combat in the time frame of the family, Battlefront just won't do it. I recall in CMAK there was a vehicle type (I think it was a Pz III with a 37mm gun) that was removed in a patch because it was determined it never operated in North Africa. It was later reintroduced in a further patch when some one produced evidence it was. I don't know if the vehicles you mention qualify or not though I'm guessing the Protze does.

I doubt any more than a handful of PzKpfw IIIs were around for Bagration so they didn't appear in Red Thunder.  By that time they were being sent back to be converted to StuG IIIs.  I think our best bet to get the earlier stuff is in a Vehicle Pack - I fear they will start with CMx3 before they ever get around to Kursk or Barbarossa.  I hope I am wrong. but I'm not getting any younger either!

  2. I have all of the WWII titles and recently did a completely new install of all of my titles.  I installed the games on a USB drive to save space on my main drive.  Everything is working fine except I noticed that some of the files for some of the games are in the Documents folder on the C drive except for Battle for Normandy.  Can I move the files from the C drive to the USB drive or will that screw up everything?

(So does this mean Fire & Rubble pre-orders are open or not???? )

When they came out w modern stuff I thought "oh, not my favorite, why didn't they do more WW2 first?".  then I bought & played SF2.  Holy f*&k is that a fun game.

OK, I'm ordering the SF2 Big Bundle.  It's on you if I don't like it...

Note that it was only about 25 years ago that one had to practically pay people to play the Russians or Western Allies as practically everyone wanted to play the Axis (German that is).  How things have changed.  So, perhaps there is hope...

Back when I played a lot of Third Reich I always played the Russians...

  5. I think a vehicle pack of early war stuff would be a good seller.  It has been mentioned that BF might not want to double sell stuff that would be in later modules/games but at the rate we are going the early war Russian Front is 5 years away and probably in CM3,  I don't think it will cause a sales problem.

We would need a couple of early T-34s, KV-I, KV-II, a couple of BTs, A couple of PzKpfw IIIs, the early PzKpfw IV , and the early STuG  - maybe 10 in all.  Half of these models are already complete in later versions.  Of course this work would have to be squeezed in around a lot of other stuff but it would make ME so happy...

I might just be nostalgic for Barbarossa to Berlin, but if this is the finale to Red Thunder, could we see Soviet VDV , Naval Infantry, etc. ? Did any NKVD divisions fight on to the end of the war?

I don't think this is the end for Red Thunder.  It has been said somewhere that Kursk is next.  When that will be is anyone's guess...

If the RT module is released along this winter (presumably) is this meaning that the preorders are at the gates?

It took 5 months to go from pre-order to release for RTV.  So we should have pre-ordered it 2 months ago if we are getting a winter release...😉
