1. Sheesh, Fox,, i'm too damn young to be a dirty ole man and too damn old to chase after pretty young women,, hell of a place to be in life,, soo i need to at least know yer sex and age before answering yer questions...
2. I'm from Colorado too, and am intrested.. email addy is anvil@codenet.net
3. How about standing behind a tank,, looking into the turret and the main body,, seeint the tank commander's lower body,, a upper turret hit,, and he dives into the tank while it rocks and rolls from concussion,, a lower turret hit, and the tank is taken out,, debree flying all around INSIDE the tank,, then billows of smoke and flame all around me!! Awesome
4. I believe if you are using a 3dfx card,, ie voodoo2 or voodoo3 that you need to use a program like hypersnap. It has a setting to select if you are using directx, glide etc.. it is a freebie download and a very good proggy and the folks who make it are their for any help. http://www.hyperionics.com/
5. I too agree with Bullethead.. with this degree of terrain, it is a trip to use the overhead map as if it were just that..a field map with strategic points easily identifiable, but the grunt at theend of the stick has the real pic and to go to his mark one eyeball level for the real view is superb..
6. I think it would be a great idea. I thought 101st airborne was a great game and to do it with this engine and graphics would be superb. hehe did a lot of skirmish wargaming with 25mm miniatures and a sand table, this is as close to that as i've found.
7. Lee, you might try hypersnap, it has a setting to do pics with your voodoo 2 card in place..
8. What a cool game!! two great viginetts!! the first were my reinforcments,,, all lined up on the ridge like the cav to the rescue.. the hardpressed inf cheering like mad,, the germans running,,,,,then they proceed down the vally and start up the far side, inf in the lead,, and their is the Tiger,, reaping murder and mayhaem,, but two of the Shermans were hunting upslope and nailed the Tiger!! the first hit was too high and richoched.. the next took him out!! I replayed and went behind the Tiger. close enough to see inside the turret and in the tank itself.. i watched as the turret turned one way,, commander exposed,, and the treads the otherway... First hit,, turret,, tank commander dives for cover,, second hit...dust and splinters flying around inside the tank!! dead tank... how cool... I have a question tho,, how do you delete a move if you change yer mind? in the order phase, i have done this,, then wanted to change,, or sometimes the mouse is a bit too sensitive,,intelemouse probs perhaps... I've been able to drag it to another location,, and shorten it a bit, but not delete it and start over..what am i missing.. and finally their is a intelimouse driver 3.1a for download at microshaft's website.. am trying this now..
9. How do you purchase by check? the only info i found was to purchase by plastic. I saw a note on the forum that you can purchase by check. Thanks in advance..
10.
quote:
Originally posted by Teutonic: Ok did search but did not find what I am looking for. Is there anyone who is currently funning linux and CM and other games? I have the option of staying with w98 going to linux or w2k. Or the other option is pull out my old hard drive and format it with one of the other operating systems. Anyone have experience with Linux and w2k? Teutonic Jr.

do both with dual boot which is avaliable with most linux versions or with partition magic.
11. an easy solution to this is to make crew worth more alive than dead, perhaps they would be avaliable for the next scenario or whatever. most troops are first trained as infantry, than for a specialty rate like tank driver, gunner etc. if they have more training they should be worth more than a grunt. but since all is situational in combat, with this one can make a choice and take the consequences.
