That is a great idea, Ziggy. We should have thought of that. I don't have the scenario or I would send it to you.
Mr. Todd Justice, the author of the article must have it posted somewhere, but I don't know just where. Sorry.

The Raiders have really put one together for you this time!
Go to http://wbr.thegamers.net and click on Boots N' Tracks in the menu to the left at the top of the page.
A brand new Boots N Tracks page with all sorts of goodies for you is now online.
First, a complete listing (as of about a week ago - it keeps changing ) Craig Harvey's excellent database of all CMBO scenarios and operations and where to find them. This is a very handy tool.
Four brand new maps for you to take and use as you see fit. They can be modified and used for your own scenario design.
Four spanking hot new scenarios by some of the best.
One great After Action Report from Paul Bunning on "Bridgehead at Benicourt."
Sinpoet gives us some more "Hollywood" for our CM leaders in the game.
Mord offers us six new sound files for rifles, sub machine guns and MGs. These are great!
Previews of coming interviews to be conducted by SuperTed Quincey with those "in the know" for Combat Mission are included.
There are some great links to sites relevant to game play and design.
You'll also find some handy tips from veteran CM beta tester and scenario designer, Tim "Rune" Orosz.
All this has been put together by the new Raider team leader for B&T, Kevin "Kinch" Kinscherf.
Any problems with the page, drop Kinch a line.

It's really worth a visit. All of this is ready for your gaming pleasure and more!

You should find two new ones of mine on the Boots N' Tracks new web page, due out tomorrow, with some others that are worth the download.
Then click on Boots N' Tracks in the menu to the left.

I thank you both, Ronson and CrazyCurt. You are crazy because you put up with my madness in both games
Madmatt's site:
http://combathq.thegamers.net/
Then go to scenario depot for the latest.

Talk about a drawn out thread. I was just getting into 63 when it started. Now I'll be 64 in about two weeks.
Maybe the thread is keeping me alive

There are numerous smaller, quick play scenarios out there, Crockett.
I would also recommend the tutorial scenario for a general intro to the game system. Pretty good little battle, too.
For urban fighting, try
Aachen
For fighting in the open,
Wiltz (on Game CD)
Fear in the Fog (on Game CD)
Son (on Game CD)
Villers Bocage - Tiger! (on game CD)
Bruyeres (on game CD)
The following are not on the game CD but can be found at various CM websites:
http://www.combatmissions.co.uk/
Madmatt, Colin and Manx are three guys who have worked very hard to offer good game support. There are many others that do the same. These, however, have the scenarios available.
Combat - US 1 Platoon 1 tank against defenses
Bruneval
Periers - Roaring Rescue
Maastricht - Tanks only (CMHQ Scenario Depot)
Keep Nimtz Alive - Very good action
Ramelle-Saving Private Ryan
That should be enough to really get you going! Good hunting!

It is the Madmatt Scenario Depot and is the top downloaded scenario there.
BTS is planning on putting out the revised scenarios on their own page (about 6 of them) and Elsdorf-revised will be included in it.
Thanks for the notes, fellas. You do give good criticism and encouragement.

Nice screen shots, Dogface! You did well. Fear in the Fog is one of my own personal favorites and I have enjoyed it more than once.
I'm certainly encouraged by your taking the time to write this note and posting the screen shots.
More to come!

Each is entitled to his own view.
Mine is that this is a war game, and when you shoot people they bleed and die.
If you don't want that in a wargame (which most don't have anyway) play Risk or Stratego.
I mean nothing personal by this, Leland. I don't even know what your view is. I'm just stating mine. It has been looooooooooonng discussed here and I am sure that it will be again and again.
Very interesting article. Thanks for pointing it out.

Oh yes, Manx, Colin, Rob, German Boy and many others have some fine support sites for CM scenarios
I'm sure Madmatt will look into this. The man keeps his site slim and trim, lean and mean, as do the rest of these support sites.
All of you are doing great jobs. Thanks for putting forth the effort. Kind of you to offer, Manx...

A few others you might consider..
Le Lorey, A Hard Stand (smaller scenario)
I'll be posting a new one soon, called "Blood and Bocage," a company level battle of 30 turns in the fierce fighting just before St. Lo.

I have and will continue to lobby for a CM Pacfic/Asia module.
If we should get it, it would be the last in the series (#5 - there are three more ahead of it), but I have not lost the vision.
I'll just need your support and voices when the day comes. BTS is not going to produce it unless they KNOW there is a market for it.
This is an ideal game for the Pacific with it's emphasis on infantry. Great opportunities for tactics in new surroundings. Not every battle was a "Banzai" charge as you all know.

Fantastic report, Spook! I love the clear diagram of action on the map. That really makes the report come alive and one can picture so clearly the action.
Worthy of commendation as is the good Sgt. and his men. They really kept their cool under fire.
Thanks for sharing this!

I've always tried to encourage map makers to just go out one day and look at the land. Look at hills, trees, valleys, farmland.
Notice how streams run, following a line of least resistance. Highways will go around a big steep hill usually unless it is too far out of the way.
If they go up the hill, they wind. And paths (aka light trees, brush or open ground) are on these hills.
Examining the real thing and then translating into your mind (Humm, how would I make that look in CM?) will help a lot.
Just a suggestion. Congrats on completing your scenario.

Let's see...
Wrong Hill, coming out on the latest Boots N' Tracks page, next week.
Melee at Marvie, finalized, as yet unpublished
Manhay, on the Prowl, very small quick play
and one possible tourney scenario, Blood and Bocage.
And then there are the two new ones recently posted at Manx and Colin's websites.
TF Butler - Operation
http://www.combatmissions.co.uk/operations.htm
To the Last Man - Scenario
http://cm4mac.tripod.com/scenario.html
That is it for the moment. More to come, God willing
