  1. Again....damn, german Tanks do never rust!!!!..
  2. I hade this in two following QB, one time as russian (2x IS-2) the second as german (2x StugIIIg). All TC`s were killed or wounded after one minute of shooting right 10-20 meters in front of the own tank. I am feeling to lose more and more the controll over my units since CMBO...and if the AI do it on its own, it looks like crap. If this is the idea to make it more "realistical"..then good night!!
  3. Yes, this annoys me too. Its the same with indirekt fire orders, my units do allways switching from a indirekt fire order to a target of her choices, even, if there are not in in danger.
  4. Great read, really.... Maybe with the information, that the 8th, 32th, 34th armoured and 81th mechanized division where involved could help to made a nice 41` scenario. After this read, i dont know for what i would have more fear, a tank assault or to sit in a tank surounded by a horde of crazy mountain troops swinging signal pistols and possibly....tooth-picks..   8. Normaly i do not post to "Mod"-Threads, but your winterized series is really awesome and outstanding. Please keep this going, and hope to see some more mods from you. Whats about with Guns in this "washed", or with a more wheathered camo style (incl. mud ect.)?? Gruß Toni
  9. Those Penetration datas are from firing trials in optimum conditions (for the firing round), if i can it say so. In a real battle, you were seldom in the position for a sure point-blank shot. Even if the firer is in a 90° position, there is mostly a slight angle left, so i think it would be hard for both US/RU 75/76mm weapons to defeat the side armor from a Tiger. Plus the really good steel quality, who im assume, it was better then the US/RU testing plates, but didnt we hade this discussion before??..

  13. One man will start (you cant the this detail in the game) to run to the tank and deploy the grenadebundle on the rear engine deck of a tank. I think it works in the range of 20-30 meters...depends on the quality of your troops.
  14. If there werent designed for, they wouldn spend a thicker frontal armor to the sdkfz`s. Its clear, that no one will rush thrue a ennemy held town park on the marketplace, full of ennemy soldiers and try a "Wild-West" stylish zirkle with wagons. Damn.. i hope someone did understand this... ) I think, they rush forward to the optimum and best possible place near the ennemy....maybe also into theyr rears.
  15. Try to put two or more guns together or small ones (37mm, 2,8mm) in front of your "Killers" like the 75mm. I saw it to often..and do it the same way, if one gun unhides, your opponent will alwys masses his tanks behind a hill and then start to attack the singel gun at once. I fyou have two smaller guns in front and a 75mm or greater as backup...you can easily make havoc on your ennemy. I always start a mortar barrage, first with smoke, then with he....so with a little smokescreen..not all of the ennemy tanks have LOS to your guns.
  16. Boy... i have too a Kyro II (until WE) and no problems at all. Only if you have AA on...than it will be real slow..so put it off...and dont blame the game!

  18. Me too...but i dont know to mutch about russian weapons. I was too surprised to see, that the german at-riffles are far better then the russian ones...i think, i read the opposite.
  19. I see here no real problem of the game. Since now, i lost only one attack as the germs (the other games i played with russians), but i made some heavy mistakes, buyed two green ferdinands (couldn resist to be so gamey, they were so cheap.. ) rarity was on). The one bogged down at the start, lost two panthers with gun damage (one true a fighter the other from a pop-mountain-gun)....and too, i lost while all my leaders were green...never saw this before (buyed regulars) nearly all of my inf`s were useless. Damn unlucky, if you ask me. In my opinion, the attacker has still the advantage. More forces, and you can decide, where you attack, so you can dooble the odds for the defender by 3 or more... Im happy with cmbb like it is, maybe someon need to change their taktiks.
  20. Again, i startet a thread about the penetration datas from the "short" shermans, and in reply, i got the answer, that BTS mixed the ammunition from early to late war. Ok, this was a decission from BTS and it was ok for me, due to the fact, cmbo was more in the late part of WWII. Now, i see shermans in 42`with nearly the same penetration stats. Why this now?? The Guy above me says 90mm at 100 meters 0° degree, Achtung Panzer (dont know theyr sorces) say 66mm at 500m with 30° degree. In the game we see 93mm at 500 meters 0° and 77 at 30°. Im wonder, where the name "Pop-Gun" cames from...Only from encountered Tigers couldn be, there where to few around.
  21. What do you all think about the pricing from the Pz. IIIm ?? If the tank would exist in cmbo, for over 100 points, no one hade use it either. The gun could only defeat the t-34´s turret and if, the small bullets doesnt allways knock the ennemy tank out. Then low he blast....thin sides and rear. For 85-90 points, maybe then i would use it in QB.
