  1. When downloading an update, it would be nice to have the game automatically restart afterwards.
  2. Thank you, and a Happy New Year (Godt Nytt År) from Norway!
  3. I don't think there are many who play online with others, simply because this game takes quite a long time to play.
  4. Wow, this update made a good game a helluva lot better! Merry Christmas all!
  5. In a 10 player game (1 = human, 2 - 10 = AI), AI no. 10 won't finish giving orders. If you save and reload the orders are given and the turn progress, but the same happen the next turn. In a 9 player game, this doesn't happen.
  6. I don't know... I'm in a game now where I earn 700+ pr turn (lot's of cities, all producing cash). By this method I could pop a BB each turn from one city.
  7. I have 4 GB (but on a 32 bit system, so only about 3.3 effective) and have also experienced Out of Mem, errors (EoS.exe using up to 1.8 Gb). I try to exit the game every 50 turn or so to reduce the risk of getting this error.
  8. Have you tried slowing the turn replay down to 1/3 speed, or are you referring to something else?
  9. EoS seems to be very demanding memory wise. Do you have a lot of other applications running at the same time? I have never seen that bug in the release version, but each time the program updates a turn, the map is briefly replaced with the startup screen.
  10. RFC004 - list of units by type In order to quickly find specific units, a list showing all units of a given type could be helpfull.
  11. Just a litte thread where I can gather and add my change suggestions, kind of like an aide-mémoire for myself. Feel free to add yours. RFC001 - Double-click in rules editor lists. When double-clicking on a unit, building or technology in the list, it would be nice if the edit-window was opened automatically. RFC002 - Expand unit list summary in rules editor. Include maintenance, view and movement ranges and hit points to the unit summary list. RFC003 - Starting new game. Have the option to select the same settings for generating a random map as you have in the map/scenario editor (amount of land, rainfall etc).
  12. Regarding combat, check out the threads: http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=89010 http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=88950 I haven't come across any unit that will allow you to transport production around, but a transport ship can ferry land units and a transport aircraft can drop paratroopers.
  13. Yes, at least that's how I understand it works.
  14. The problem is still very much there. What I mean is that the planes seems to be tracking the carrier as they did in the release version, but when launching the go to the point the carrier was when the order was given and then simply crash there, regardless of fuel status.
  15. Great, but the pilots are still unable to find & land on a moving carrier.
  16. I have a game I continued after upgrading from the previous version. In this game I am no longer able to land aircrafts on moving carriers. The planes crash upon reaching the point where the carrier was when the order was given.
  17. I think this is a good idea. Having to deselect Money when switching back to unit production is a little nagging.
  18. If that is the case, then EoS might have an image problem. I say might, because the thought of a new Empire game was what sold me in the first place. Anyway, EoS is so much more due to it's modability. The potential looks staggering and I'm really looking forward to start digging into the core of the game!
  19. I think most have just been caught by surprise by the release as we weren't expecting it for another week or so. I guess by evening US time this will be one busy board.
  20. Downloaded full version and sat up a game with random, max size map, 9 AI players. At turn 30, the game reported Out of Memory when trying to save. I checked the Task Manager and EoS exe was using about 1.8 Gb ram. I was able to exit the game normally and reload the auto-save. I played a few more turns and the game quickly gobbled up memory again, so I think there might be a potential problem with releasing system resources. Otherwise, I'm extremely happy to be playing the full version! Thanks for sneak-releasing it on us!
  21. Hmm, gotta try that next time. I've used the task manager to kill the process (but that was a build or two ago). In that case Brit has developed the AI too far!
