  1. Earl Grey, my rank mod has always had accurate period rank for the US. Juju, just remove the SP4 and SGM ranks, replacing them with the CPL and 1SG ranks respectively and you've got it.
  2. Check your US ranks, there was no Specialist or Command Sgt Major in the US army at this time period. Looks pretty clean otherwise, good work, although I'm not so sure about the sideways US ranks...
  3. Here is an example showing the German icons (this is during setup, so you can entenchment icons as well):
  4. That is good news Angryson. Wodin, here is that key I promised you:
  5. Agua, I'd rather not do that, as I really like the subdued look they now have. They do not distract form the real important information in the UI... Check them out in game though for yourself, these graphics have been optimized quite a bit.
  6. They will work for MAC's also. Send your friend this link (thanks Mark "Tank Boy" Gibson) as it explains how to apply them to a MAC install: http://www.battlefront.com/community/showpost.php?p=1270352&postcount=18
  7. Thanks Reaver. In this image I have laid out the US rank icons as released with the game, and my set. The red X marks ranks that did not exist in the US Army in WW2. So some shifting was necessary as fewer actual enlisted ranks were available. I tried to keep them in line with the German ranks as much as possible. And a Corporal is perfectly able to command a squad, even in today's army.
  8. Also, the Specialist and Command Sgt-Major ranks did not exist in this timeframe either. These are all holdovers from CMSF I believe.
  9. AstroCat, a Corporal commanding a squad is perfectly feasable, not sure why you have a problem with that. Remake it any way you like, but adding missing ranks might be adding back in a rank that didn't exist in WW2.. for example in the game the PFC rank (one stripe on top and one rocker on the bottom) did not exist until the 50's. All you should have to do is copy the Sergeant rank at position 6 into position 5 as well (overwriting Corporal at that point). Bil
  10. He better come back safe. Wodin, I am going to work up a key for them but really after playing a game or two I think you'll have them down.
  11. I consolidated the rank and branch insignia mods into one zip file and delted the extras off the repository.. Here is a chart of the ranks, showing how I apllied them in the mod. It is also a key as to what each rank means: This image shows the Branch icons, German and US equivalent:

  13. There is only one version available.. seems I had a screwy upload at first. You need the rank and the Branch Insignia icon mod for it to be complete. I am in the process of consolidating them into one zip file.
  14. Glad you are enjoying them. I thought the US Army symbols worked better than the German ones did, at least when trying to represent individual vehicles and squads.
  15. Wildboar, LTC Gibson, Mark (one each ) gives an explanation here: http://www.battlefront.com/community/showpost.php?p=1270352&postcount=18
  16. Wodin, try my period set (on the repository, based on WW2 US Army map symbols. I had made a NATO set in my early BETA days with this game and got a bit of a backlash, so I created this set, which really, I prefer.
  17. Gromit, that was the plan originally, unfortunately I have found it pretty much impossible to layout the grid from map to map so the squares will exactly correspond to the action spots as the origin can change from map to map. It is as close as I could get it.. and mind you this was done several months ago and was rushed together. Someday I will have the time to sit down and do up a proper gridded terrain mod.. of course by then there will be several alternatives available.
  18. Mark, it might let the idiot giving the commands know that a ditch is present.. so I suppose.
  19. ...is available now at CM MODS Warehouse: http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods I'm sure it'll show up at the repositiry tomorrow or whenever Moon gets back to work. Enjoy.
