  1. well.. since they ARE scenarios.. why would you put the in the saved games folder in the first place... ????
  2. Finally someone who bashes 101. I already thought i was the only wargamer who didn't like this game at all .
  3. Definitely SHOGUN! Great, HUGE battles where EVERY soldier is displayed (hint, hint ;o) - ok, they are just sprites, but the battles look fantastic!)
  4. the same here.. thanks a lot for all the scenarios, WB! One thing about the "Private Ryan"-mission... it was my first attempt at a CM scenario, and I won it without a problem (and that wasn't because I am a genius - believe me ;o). It's fun, but maybe a bit too easy ?
  5. .. and congratulations from switzerland for making it to the finals ;o)
  6. "I am in the EU switzerland is not" I guess that's Your problem...
  7. Thanks for a great game. Just a little something, maybe for the next patch. Would it be possible to make the hotkeys adjustable? There are some keys that just do not work with some "international" keyboards.
  8. My Copy arrived yesterday (28/6) in switzerland.
  9. Thomas: I can't play FPS either because I get motion sickness too. This hapened while trying Half-Life and Dark Project, and so I never even tried one of the other ones. However, having read all the great reviews about Rogue Spear, how much planning was involved and how realistic it is, I decided to give it a try and I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could play this one without problems. I guess one of the factors is the speed of the motion. Rogue Spear is a lot slower that the other "action-oriented" games. I suppose you will be able to play Combat Mission strictly from a top down perspective, but I can't find a reason why I should miss all the great pictures from another perspective if there is no downside to it. To be honest, I never understood why wargamers still had to go with that look of cardboard wargames when there are more than enough resources for details, realism AND great graphics. 10. Thanks for the great AAR's to both of you. However, I think the end game screen (score) is a bit sparse. Wouldn't it be useful if at least the initial strengths would be listed as well with the casualties? something like X/Y (X = casualties, Y=initial numbers including reinforcements) [This message has been edited by BenSp (edited 10-20-99).]
  11. *** As I stated in an email Mattias Hitler and Himmler were common names in their respective regions of birth and would have been present throughout the German army. *** Fionn ???? Hitler was AUSTRIAN. There were not THAT many Ausrtians in the german army, at least not that the name would have been present throughout the army. Hitler wasn't even his real name. His (father's) name was Schickelgruber. He took the family's name of his mother. I hope Schickelgruber won't be in the game either!
  12. medievalbanquet You are right, but as always, there is ONE exception: try GETTYSBURG! (and the soon to follow Antietam)
