  1. Hi Agua, I think you may need to edit the map to suit your play. I intentionally left everything as "blank slate" as I could for scenario designers and QB play. Let me know if you can do this-if not, maybe I could do a QB version that has setup zones and flags. My only concern about that was that it would be too detirmined upon historical objectives and battles of a large scale. Let me know what would be best for a good QB on the map. B
  2. bump. Still not working. I am using the standard, out of the box Mac download manager. I tried signing in on the field that pops up, but to no avail. Strange, this.
  3. I keep trying to download MrNoobie's T34 mods on Tom's CMHQ site, but I keep getting an "anonymous access denied" popup-I also get a field to fill out a password. Any solutions? Is this another permutation of the bandwidth problem? I am a member at the Military Gamer site, so I figured that wasn't the problem.
  4. Great work. I love the truck on your site, as well-the wood siding is a really nice touch.
  5. Why, thank ya kindly. I will have some more of the city coming up in the next few weeks. Then on to another locale. CMBB demands maps are made, and I am her slave.
  6. A quick reminder-I have a Berlin map at the Scenario Depot (as yet unreviewed..) for scenario designers/ QB's. I am really excited to get some Berlin scenarios on my HD, but too involved with making some other maps and 2SS scenario's to do it myself (and I am a cartographic junkie anyways). note: The "Preview" is not to my map at the Scenario Depot.
  7. "Here's your flamethrower. Would you like fires with that? Thank you, please pull up to the second window. BFC. Over 1 Billion Served."-Pvt. Ryan HA HA!! Damned funny! [ October 18, 2002, 02:34 AM: Message edited by: benpark ]

  9. WOW. Really nice work. I was looking at the treads on the model compared to the CMBB stock graphics, and I really like the way the metallic color is very visable at the portions that make contact with the ground. Maybe something for the future... I can't wait till you post this fine mod. Where will it be?
  10. Sounds good to me. A side note: Whoever did the "mod index" at CM Depot is a genius. Now I can see all of the units in one area. Beautiful.
  11. Has anyone done a comprehensive listing yet of what BMP's #'s correspond to in terms of graphics? I was wondering because I would love to start converting things to CMBB like mine markers over from my CMBO mods, but I am not certain if they are the same #'s. Also, I am unclear as to the system for winter uniforms-so a list would be a great help. Thanks.
  12. It is a very good game, though a very abstracted one. I really enjoy it for 2-3 hour games. If only I hadn't received it at the same time as CMBB, I might have had some more time to play by now...
  13. No worries, AK. Top notch work, and many thanks! And more on the way...
  14. My father is a Vietnam vet (101AB), and saw plenty of combat. He is a Close Combat junkie, and I am working hard on him to get the CMBO/CMBB bundle. I think playing wargames has a large amount to do with an interest in history. I don't know if he would play a Vietnam game, but not because of a fear of "flashbacks". It would be more a case of seeing something he experienced firsthand, and not seeing that accurately portrayed within a simulation.
  15. Last time I checked you can import maps and forces into QB's. This is the perfect solution to those people with the desire to follow a single unit through a series of different engagements. No need for dissapointment, there are so many aspects of this game that are open to DIY. Now all you need are maps. Get my Berlin one at the Scenario Depot (shameless plug), and there are many more to follow. OR, just use the QB's "import map" and choose "import forces" as well. Maybe this is something for the patch-a choice of"import axis" or "import allies".
  16. Sounds like a job for CMMOS. Western style or Eastern style would be a nice thing to switch back and forth from.
  17. Go an' get it! (please note that the "preview" does not show my map-not sure whose that is). It is a historically accurate rendering of Berlin 1945- the Mitte District, encompassing the Reichstag, Moltke Bridge, and the Reichskanzlei. Perfect for QB's. Make your own setup zones, flag placements and unit configs. Have fun wrecking it...
  18. I understood. I would love to see it. I have a central Berlin map, now posted at the scenario depot or those that are looking for something out now.
  19. Would anyone be willing to try out the 1st in my series of Das Reich Division scenarios? This action is the breakout from Prague by the remnants of "Der Fuhrer" Regiment. They are confronted by Czech Partisan forces in the NE section of the city, and must punch a hole through to the countryside before the arrival of the Soviets in force. There are a few gameplay issues (exit zones, VL effectiveness, reinforcement scheduling) that may need tweeking, so some input at this point would be great. Post here, and I will send it to 2-3 people. Thanks.
  20. Yes, it is the player exiting. I have the VL's for the AI's benefit only.
  21. I am making a late war scenario containing a few VL and a German exit zone. If, historically, all forces were desperate to leave the area portrayed-should I have all of the units "eligible for exit points". I am afraid that it will be detrimental somehow to gameplay to require all of the forces to exit the map in terms of final tally of points-but on the other hand, points be damned, I want an accurate depiction of the events. Any one run into a similar problem? Also-VL flags+exit scenarios-are there any known problems to look out for? I included them for the AI's benefit (it is a scenario intended for 1 player play). Thx.
  22. I have read that a recon section of the Das Reich Division received these in lieu of halftracks. What were their production #'s?
