How much of what you name is in service with frontline units? I thought SMGs are pretty much limited to specialist units. The Milan was replaced with the Spike. How widely used is the G82? (Barrett .50 for you and me) I couldn't say if it needs to be included one way or the other. HK 69, is it even in use? I thought it's all UGLs now. Nor do I expect M113s to be deployed by the Germans as a frontline vehicle in an expeditionary force. Had the Dingo even entered service in 2008? The only thing that surprised me too was the scare air support. Really, they only get the old BO-105? The Eurofighter and Tornado seemed a certainty, with the Brits having them too. F-4 II was perhaps a bit too much to hope for. It would've been nice to have the Eurocopter Tiger, but a bit dubious considering numbers and current employment.

Not quite. Getting up in the .50 improves the guy's survival chances. In "**** hit the fan" situations you should consider the .50 a fan cleaning device. A .50 firing is something that will discourage most attackers from doing their thing.

Nope not even a shadow. And that's not entirely incorrect. A plane would be flying too high, the helicopter would in all likelihood be hugging a hill some ways back from the fighting. You'll know where they are when ordnance starts coming in from off map. As to why no greater effort is expended rendering aircraft, because this is not an aircraft sim. Seeing an aeroplane isn't directly relevant to what is going on.

For scenarios/campaigns, just copy the .cam or .btt files to the folder GAME FILES>CAMPAIGNS or SCENARIO. Mods are near the same but need to go to DATA>Z folder. You may have to make this Z folder yourself. All mods then go in here and it'll sort itself out. This won't over write original data but will see the stuff in the Z folder used instead. Thus if you don't like the mod you can delete that mod from the Z folder and the game will use stock graphics. Mod files can be .brz files or individual .bmp/.wav files. Either will work and requires no packing/un-packing. Don'rt forget to un-pack the mods/scenarios if they are .zip files!

I wasn't going to comment on Cid250 earlier comment as it was rather OT but if Belenko gets portrayed like that I'm going to step in. It's not Belenko who doesn't know his stuff, it's Cid250 who is apparently unaware of his own country's economic state. With Spains 11% budget shortfall and a whopping 20% unemployment figure it means their relatively low debt isn't going to save them. Spain is a most deserved member of the PIGS.

Yeah, I got it to work. I DL-ed and installed without a problem. What the guy writing the article failed to do was DL-ed two extra patches x.x0018 and x.x0020 TBH, it looked the same as I remembered. A few extra Mechs but that's about it. Don't think I'll play it much now. Wsn't even that long ago that I played the original version. But anyone who hasn't tried MW4:Mercenaries should definitely try it out. It's a great game. Me, I'm exactly where they want me to be, jones-ing for Mechwarrior: Reboot.

Primary reason for these countries to be modelled is indeed that they share so much kit. If you do one of them you are so damn near to having the kit of the others it would be a missed opportunity not to model the rest. Can't agree with you about the "realism" of Dutch troops getting stuck in. Surely both the Canadians and the Dutch have established their bonafides in international operations? Each have a trackrecord of deploying to the toughest areas.

Hmmm, I think I'll have to withdraw the C2 comment. When I made it I had this in mind: Notice how the turret armour upper and lower plate appear one piece? But on more googling, the armour arrangement seems to typically look more like the model you have. So it turns out the edge between the upper and lower plate are as ugly on the real thing as on the model. Weldone! My bad, sorry.

Alpha? I'm surprised at that. In a way pleased because either that's a somewhat unflattering shot or the Leo C2 could use a little work. Turret sides don't look too pretty, unless that's some additional armour package and it's supposed to be like that. Cool to see it though. Hadn't expected it to be included. The Diemaco C-7 colours, are you sure those are correct? Google can't find much pictures of troops that aren't black hand guard and stock and if different not that shade of green, thoug it does sem that's the factory standard. Also, it seems only telescopic stocks, is that correct? Last image, Leo 2A6?

Yup, there are some very real issues surrounding the sudden immigration of large numbers of people. The raising of such issues is not per definition racist, xenophobic or bigoted.
