Camera drone chasing a formula 1 car. Nice visuals and an interesting reference, IMHO.

Maybe once there will be something like 'mutually assured destruction' in conventional warfare thanks to drones and AI.

I would love to see them go straight back to the beginning of the war, with ... France 1940, ...
The "Ardennes 1940 & 1944" DLC for Easy Red 2 was just released. You may find it interesting, even though it is a first-person shooter!

Only 90 degrees vertically.

Close Combat 2
Could only play it on my aunt's computer.
She did not really understand my fascination with it, though. -

Looks to me that the moon was behind it. No doubt this was part of the attack plan.

Well, the moon should be behind the drone, and not the ship, shouldn't it?

The M26 also appeared in the Korean war, as I found out.
A brief research showed that this war has a relatively short, but unusual list of vehicles.

I think that this conflct would be very suited for a CM game, with little investment being necessary in the model department.

Does DPICM work against an entrenched enemy in CM?

Interview with the maker of Easy Red 2.
Guy sounds nice and super-dedicated. I hope he will get support from this community, also!
The DLC itself is pure dopamine. Thumbs up!

Just found out that the release date for the Normandy DLC (for Easy Red 2) is 6th of June.
Credit card is ready!

@MikeyD Interesting assumption! Do you have any further reason to believe these are to counter submunitions? Could this not simply be a doormat to keep the interior clean?
The spikes disrupt the formation of jets of molten metal for simple hollow charges similar to those found in cluster submunitions.

Wouldn't molotovs help with those bunker assaults, by means of smoke generation, at the very least?

Not sure what you asked and what was exactly the output. But that warning might be related to intellectual property.
I copied the first paragraph of the original post into a ChatGPT chat.
I guess you are right about the IP.

I have tried it for myself, and got the following message (after a similar output as yours was generated):
This content may violate our content policy. If you believe this to be in error, please submit your feedback — your input will aid our research in this area.
I did not bother to find out what exactly was the issue.
Not sure what to think about it. I guess that for scenario designers - especially those who are not native speakers - this may be a great help.

I love random collations of generic stock, and animated, footage. It is so very informative.
Me too, but only if it has a click-bait front page!

In the middle of the following news page (German) there is a nice slider-image showing new trench systems in Crimea:

Well, that will be interesting to pick apart once it there's enough OSINT to dig into
Steve
The key question is:
Do you intend to add drones as 3D objects to the CM world? In other words, without abstractions?
If yes, how will the current LOS system support them?
If no, will dropped grenades just spawn in the middle of the air?
I am curious how you will handle this!

Any Easy Red 2 players know if the enemy AI is always aware of the player characters whereabouts? Currently playing the public beta. Asked in steam forum but didn´t get any answer for 2 weeks. Seems they start the same habits like in BFC forum (developers give a sh*it on customer questions).
Anyway, if that´s part of ER2 game mechanics, I uninstall it again. Better focus on Second Front and that tank sim (Gunner, Heat...) then. A pity.My gut feeling is: No.

Some days ago, in Dresden, I ordered a Saxon cabbage strudel with potatoes for dinner, because I was kind of tired of eating meating all the time.
To my surprise, and delight, I found out that it was filled with white sausage!
Sneaky Germans!

Where does this come from, if I may ask?
The Javelin uses a small launch rocket motor for its soft-launch start.
That should work in a vacuum, also, shouldn't it? Or without any obstacle behind it.
